We ended our 2015 Winter league today in style, battling it out for two rounds in temps that felt very much like winter still! Thanks everyone for coming out! I had a great time, and I hope you all did as well. It was fun to play with two different partners and a different group of people each round. The format seemed to work very well, and it may be something that we adopt to close each of our Summer and Winter leagues from here on out.
Congratulations to "Ninja" Nate Yarbrough an ...

This Sunday, March 22nd, is the final day of 2014-2015 LDT Winter Dubs. It is also the last day we will be competing for winter tags. We will not be hosting a bag tag challenge this year, so we are going to incorporate as much of that fun stuff as possible this Sunday!
We will be playing 2 rounds (first round 18 holes and second TBD). You will have a different partner for each round. After the initial 18 we will gather at hole 1 and draw again for the second round. Any players who cannot, or ...

Doesn't look like we'll increase cost, figured that would be unpopular even if payouts are larger. Points will be accrued for both rounds. Places will be determined based on that point system.
Just wanted everyone to know that, after noticing a slight discrepancy in the amount of the ace pool vs. # of players who have actually played winter league, I had to make a slight adjustment. After reviewing every league score sheet (yes I keep them all) I discovered that I had been including in the ace pool total individuals who had not actually paid in. The current ace pool total reflects the exact amount that has been paid in to date (it was only off by a small amount). If you have any questions please shoot me a pm. Thanks everyone...now get out there and get that ace!!
We've had a few people out, myself included, to check out the basement at Cassity Chiropractic and it looks like we are good to go! The mirrors aren't nearly as much of a problem as I had originally anticipated, and we should easily be able to avoid them if we place the baskets in appropriate locations. Our only obstacle now is baskets! We need 4 to do the league, and I only have 2. If we can get 2 more people to bring baskets then we will be all set. Obviously it wold be nice to have ... more
Just wanted to give an update on the putting league. Haven't been able to create the league yet here on DGS. I have to wait until I can link it to the new "course" that I created on here, and that has to be approved. We are still a go for tomorrow night though. Really need baskets! Pl ... more
Unfortunately putting league is cancelled until further notice. We need a larger venue to host it. If any of our league members knows of a large enough place to host a putting league please contact myself or Jason. Thanks!
Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like we will be forming a puttling league this winter. I am going to tentatively announce that this will be taking place on Tuesday nights at 7pm in the basement of the Cassity Chiropractic Center at 2111 Wildwood in Jackson. Start date is TBD, but will most likely be Tuesday, November 25th.
If you don't like playing in the cold and snow, but want to get some DG practice in during the winter, then this is perfect for you! It will be BYOB, LD ...

This Sunday we will have league as usual, but afterwards we will be gathering up as many players as possible to help us with getting the course at McCourtie park ready. Come out and support a new course in our area! For those of you that don't know already, McCourtie is the stone bridges park located on the corner of South Jackson and US 12, just past Flavor Fruit Farms. Drinks and pizza will be provided by the park at 6pm! Hope to see many of you out there!
Hey Terry, any word on baskets coming in for the course? We'd like to get out there and get some more work done. Seems like the logical next step would be getting those in. Hopefully the ground isn't too frozen to get that done. Let me know and I'll get a group together to come out and get some work done.
This Sunday, October 5th, marks the beginning of our winter dubs league at Big Portage. Come out and join us at 12pm and start accumulating those points! There will be even more berth packages given away to the points winners of winter league this season. Bag tag packages are also in and they are sweeeet! I will be posting the bag tag league today and will have the packages with me on Sunday for our first day. They will be $25 and include a shirt, towel, and tag. Just like last year it will also ... more
$8 per round? Treating it like 2 different rounds for the points? Just wondering how that'll work. Gonna be a good time!!!
