The FALL/WINTER 2019-2020 league season has come to an end. A huge thank you goes out to all of the players that were able to participate in this past season! We really appreciate your support & hope you had as much fun as we did.

Congratulations to Matt Neal who took 1st place in this seasons league!! He was able to snag two aces & won with over 30 points more than 2nd place. Excellent shooting man!

Last night we had 32 players come out to play a round of WR + RW alternating tees. Some hot scores lead to Sprow/Scott & Chilson/Wiedenfeld tying for first & second cash with -16 scores. Third & fourth cash went to Greene/Thelen & Chapman/Freeland with -15 scores. Last cash got taken by Brayton/Binienda who shot -14.

Since nobody hit an ace during the round last night, we had an ace pool throw off on hole 1 from the red tee. Sprow got CTP & took home $80! The next closest disc was thrown by Common and he took home $51. The remaining $130 in the ace pool will carry over to the spring/summer league season.

We will be taking a couple weeks off in between fall/winter & spring/summer league season. It’s looking like we will start back up again on Wednesday, April 1st with a 7:30pm start time. More than likely we’ll be playing at Bandemer, but keep an eye out for updates through Disc Golf Scene as the 1st gets closer. Our schedule for Fall/Winter is set to end this Wednesday, March 11. I did not get any formal comments/messages in strong favor of extending league a week, and a comment that mentioned keeping it AS IS due to a scheduling conflict (since the league schedule has been set some quite awhile and we are just now debating).

In looking back at league records going back to 2013-14 we have always finished this week (between the March 11th and 15th). Based on those two pieces of information, I think it is best to keep March 11th as the ending week.

For those that want another week (perhaps to prepare for the Cass Gentry Memorial or just want more golf) we could organize an additional week of play.

Our first night with more spring-like weather brought 24 players out to play a challenging round at Bandemer. We played a R3, W3, B3 + W3, B3, R3 layout where three pads of the same color were played in a row. We also played an alternate tee pad for hole 8 blue that was from the fire pit path to 8’s basket.

There was a tie for first and second cash between Krumm/Sprow & Fifer/Neal with -12 scores. The cash was split evenly. Third cash went to Kerns/Crouch with a -11 score. A three way tie for last cash between Thelen/Trombley, Common/Herron & Boucher/Binienda with -10 scores was decided with a disc flip.

Good morning folks. There was a discussion briefly by several of you last night about potentially extending this current fall/winter league by a week. As the schedule stands now, we are set to end Fall/Winter next week (3/11).

From the sounds of it, several of you are in favor of extending it one more week (and end on 3/18). What do you think?

Send me a message if you have a strong feeling one way or the other. I think the 3/11 - 3/18 debate might impact a few people who are in the hunt for a State Berth, but it also sounded like they were in favor of playing the extra week

Neal/Boucher & Brayton/Plantz both shot -9 and decide to split the cash evenly. There was also a tie for last cash between Krumm/Perras & Greene/Taint. There was a tie for first & second cash between Sprow/Plantz & Jopps/Clark with -14 scores. Nice shooting guys! Third place cash went to Krumm/Greene with a -12 score.

Shane Brayton walked away with a handful of cash ($109) for hitting an ace on Hole 6 from the red tee. Great shot Shane!

An opportunity to play glow at Rolling Hills brought 21 players out even with the heavy snow we had during the beginning of the round. The layout we played was 1-6, 17, 18 + a safari tee to the practice basket (9 holes total, played twice).

There was a tie for first & second cash between Common/Herron & Kerns/Brayton with -12 scores. They decided to split the cash evenly. There was another tie for third & forth cash between Krumm/Boucher & Crouch/Plantz. A disc flip decided the larger payout.

I have bene told that they will have someone at the gate collecting entry (car pool into the park might be a good option for those of you outside Washtenaw County). They also mentioned that they would have seasonal passes available for purchase as well.

We had two people hit aces last night!! Matt Neal hit hole 1 with his first shot of the night & Russel Taint hit hole 3 shortly after. Both players took home a whopping $22 but also got 30 additional points towards their league standings. Congrats to both of you guys!

First round of 2020 is in the books! 15 players came out to Bandemer to shoot an alternating Red - White then White - Red layout with an alternate tee pad on hole 7 since the white pad was surrounded/under water.

Shooting absolute fire by himself (cali), Pete Boucher took 1st place cash with a -16 score! Second place went to Chapman/Plantz with a -13 score & taking last cash was Thelen/Herron with a -12 score.

Drew Herron also took home $54 cash for smashing an ace on hole 5 from the red pad. Congrats on the New Years Day ace Drew!

Freezing cold (9º, felt like -1º) round last night with a small amount of snow accumulation on the ground. We had 14 people come out & brave the cold temps to play a red pad x2 layout. Shooting fire & taking 1st place cash was Thelen/Kerns. 2nd & 3rd place cash was split evenly between Plantz/Chapman & Ritchey/Frame with -15 scores.

Frame-o took home $77 for crushing an ace on hole 5! Excellent shot man. It was perfect, I witnessed it myself.

Reminder that we WILL NOT be playing on December 25th. Also, due to a number of factors, we are going to switch the start time back to 7:30pm. That means registration will open at 7pm & close at 7:30pm when roll call will be announced. So, our next round on January 1st, 2020 will begin at 7:30pm at Bandemer. The schedule on DGS will reflect that as well.

Taking first place with an impressive -16 was Neal/Chapman. Nice shooting guys! Second place went to Sprow/Common with a -14 score. Tying for last cash was Krumm/Perras & Plantz/Wiedenfeld with -13 scores. After a disc flip, the money went to Krumm/Perras.

You have the opportunity to participate in the Secret Santa disc exchange at next week's league (Dec 18th). Completely optional.

Bring a new disc golf related item approximately a $15 value (typical new disc value is around $15)....wrapped of course. Discs should be new, non-inked, and unthrown. Other items are welcome as well (towels, chalk bags, minis, shirts, etc).

If you do not have something on hand, I will have our club inventory if you wanted to purchase something and participate.

We will play our league round and then at the conclusion, gifts will be selected....winning scores from the round will have first choice at the "gifts" that were brought (assuming that they participated and brought one themselves).

2nd place will go next, and so on until all gifts have been selected. We have done this for the past few years and I think things have gone well. In addition to that, who does not like getting some new disc golf gear?

Great weather brought 26 players out for a round at Bandemer last night. We played a Red/White + White/Red layout that led to a lot of high scores! Tying for first, second & third cashing spots with -14 scores was Ballios/Common, Thelen/Taint, & Brayton/Boucher. They all decided to split the cash evenly between the teams. There was a 3-way tie for last cash with -13 scores from Perras/Trombley, Neal/Ritchey, & Plantz/Gustafson. After a throw off Perras/Trombley took the cash.

Jen Wiedenfeld hit her first ever ACE on Hole 5 last night! Congratulations! We’re excited you got your first ace during a WC Glow round.

Thanks to Frame-o for shoveling the heavy off the pads before Sprow & I could get around to them for scraping & salting.

Another rain filled round that Mary Beth Doyle gave us last night. We had 12 players come out & shoot in the rain the entire evening. Ended up playing from the short pads since it was pretty nasty out.

Top score from Sprow/Chapman of -15 in the garbage weather was really good! Great job guys. There was a tie for 2nd place/last cash between Krumm/Neal & Common/Jones. We decided to split it evenly since nobody wanted to throw more in the rain.

We’re going to head back to MBD next week (Oct. 9th). As of right now the weather is looking decent, so hopefully that holds up. We’ll see everybody then. Have a great upcoming weekend!

Please come prepared for wet conditions and bring an umbrella. If needed we can play the short layout but that will depend on conditions closer to tee-off.

We had one of the bigger turnouts in a little while for our round at Bandemer this past Wednesday. 29 people showed up to play the W,B,R + B,R,W layout on a beautiful early fall evening.

Top score of the night was -16 from Plantz/Jopps taking home the first cash spot. Second cash was taken by Thelen/Selig shooting -13. Third cash went to Common/Doman with a -12 and there was a tie for last cash between Perras/Crouch and Krumm/Chapman with -11 scores. Perras/Crouch took the cash after a flip.

Had an excellent night for our first round of the 2019-2020 Fall/Winter league! Weather was perfect & we had a turnout of 20 players to play a R,W,B + B,W,R layout at Bandemer.

Top score for the night was an unstoppable -16 from Brayton/Chapman. Killer shooting guys! There was a tie with -12 scores for the last two cashing spots. Krumm/Neal took 2nd cash with a coin flip over Chilson/Perras, who took 3rd cash.

Congrats to Josh Gustafson took home $69 after acing Hole 1 from the Red pad!
