We will be playing Red White Blue layout for the Finale, with short pins in play for holes 2, 12, and 15, and the long pin in play for hole 9. Target use is to be determined, but it will be scaled back slightly for the different layout. Mandos will still be in play on holes 3 Blue (Anti-Mando), Hole 7 Red (Spy vs. Spy Double Mando), Hole 10 Red (Pine Alley Double Mando), and Hole 16 Red Mando. There will be an updated scorecard and a cheat sheet for the round.

24 on hand for week two of April's Fool Punderson Disc Golf, including an appearance by the some Punderson legends. Larry Bright, Dave Hotchkiss, and Tim Kaihlanen all tie with the low score of -2, but Larry and Dave only used 5 mulligans, taking it to a throw off to decide first, with Larry taking the CTP, the win, and the #1 tag, putting Dave in 2nd and Tim in 3rd. Punderson legend Andy Morrison comes in at -1 taking fourth outright, followed by Kevin M at even and in 5th for the last payout spot.

Hence, there's a few twists on hand for this week. One may just have to do with a Wheel of Fate being moved to a new hole.

Also, new targets are always welcome and gain you valuable bonus points. Mickey has made a new target to add to his Brillo-Mick on hole 18, and there will be one now on each side of the entrance to the basket area. This also earns him 2 bonus points for the league. So if you want to donate a target, please do so!!

A couple things need to be clarified that were brought up to me last week. See below:

You can only use a Stroke Eraser target once on a hole!! If you hit it again, it will count as a normal stroke!! If a hole has multiple targets, you can deduct multiple strokes by using multiple targets.

Stroke Penalty targets have no cap. You add one stroke to your score for each time they are hit.

Mulligans cannot be used on wheel spins. Your fate has been determined.

Aces (scores of 1) when you get a "-1 off score" on wheel spin is not a target ace. It is a wheel ace, and a target was not used to get the ace. In the instance you do get the "-1 off score" and still use a target after the throw to get an ace, you get the target ace points (15 points).

The Portal Hoop on Hole 9 is considered a target only if you go through the hoop. Hitting it is not considered a Stroke Eraser.

These will be brought up next week and added to the League Cheat Sheet.

Target Return = bringing in a target for a hole you finished on. I may have missed some who did this, so if you did, let me know. If you help on take down after league, it gets you 2 points. Both cannot be combined. 2 points is the max for this.

Assisting in league set-up (2 points)
Assisting in league take-down (2 points)
Returning a target from the hole you finish on (1 point)
Prize Donation (1-3 points...depending on value)
Donating a league target (2 points)
Aces (0 (ace w/ target) -- 30 points, Natural Ace -- 25 points, Target Ace (1 with use of target -- 15 points)

Points can be lost by the following:

Littering (-2 points)
Being +5 minutes late (-1 point)
Losing a Bag Tag (-1 point)
General Douchbagbery during league rounds (-1 point)

20 brave souls took on the challenge of April's Fools at the first week of league at in some rather muddy but temperate conditions. Travis Bailey killed the course and was the only one under par, taking a -6 and the easy win by 8 strokes. Rick Falstreau took second outright with a +2, followed by a 3 way tie at +3 between Michael Carletta, Rollie R Rush Jr., and Tim Kaihlanen, with Michael taking third using the least mulligans, and Rollie taking fourth after a CTP with Tim for the last two cash spots. Yours truly hit a target ace on 17, and should have slight edge over Rick for the top points spot (bonus point to Rick for target fabrication and set up and take down) after the first week. 4 weeks left of this wacky yet fun league. Don't miss week 2 next Saturday with a 11 AM start!!!

Weekly results and points update will be coming soon...most likely tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

And don't forget helping set up and take down earns you bonus points, along with prize donations!! The more hands on deck and the more prizes to give the merrier!!!

Below you can find a list of the targets and mandos that will be in play for the league. Some of the March Madness targets have been incorporated, along with some new twists. All negative targets are indicated here. There will also be 4-6 "Stroke Penalty" targets on the course each week that will change locations. These will have the Jester league logo (at top of page).

Hole 1: Banner at top of hill between trees and rock at bottom of hill (surrounded by yellow flags)

Hole 2: Milk Jugs hanging from Pine Tree of tee and "Too Far Gong" on tree near basket

Hole 3: Anti-Mando -- Indicated by metal arrows near pin(that are also Stroke Erasers) ; you cannot go through the center path to the basket...must go around arrows

Hole 4: Sign on tree near pin and large rocks before and after creek (surrounded by yellow flags)

Hole 5: Banner on left side of fairway. Stop Sign (Stroke Penalty) near pin

Hole 6: Teleportal Hole -- indicated by metal signs (also Stroke Erasers) posted on trees to left of the woodpile. If you make it through the "Teleportal" ON YOUR DRIVE ONLY, you transport down to a 50 foot putt near the shore of Pine Lake (marked with yellow flags) as your new "tee" still shooting your first shot. R2D2 will also be on the non-Teleportal route to act as an extra Stroke Eraser.

Hole 7: Spy vs Spy Double Double Mando -- Signs posted on trees at top of hill and trees near pin. Between the signs are played as Mandos, and the signs act as Stroke Erasers. The trees at the top of the hill are the first Mando, followed by the trees near the pin and the second Mando.
Played as a par 4.

Hole 8: Banner on left of fairway.

Hole 9: Portal V2 -- The Portal V2 will be played using the Short Pin as the Portal. If you ace the short pin, you move up to the drop zone (35 foot putt) as your new tee. If you get a birdie on the short pin, you move to the drop zone sitting at 1 and shooting your second shot. The Portal Hoop will be placed 1/2 way from the basket at the drop zone, and will not be a Mando, but act as a Stroke Eraser if you make it through the Hoop. This will give you the chance to score a 0 on that hole (worth bonus league points)

Hole 10: Pine Tree Alley Double Mando - Arrows mark the Mando through the Pine Trees of the tee and also act as Stroke Erasers

Hole 11: Creek Mando -- Arrows mark the Mando over the creek (and OB) and also act as Stroke Erasers

Hole 12: Graveyard with multiple targets in fairway that act as Stroke Erasers

Hole 13: Wheel of Madness -- Spin the wheel to determine your fate. There will also be the Too Much Mustard target (Stroke Eraser) on the tree behind the pin.

Hole 14: Grateful Dead hole -- Two Mushrooms on left and right of fairway (Stroke Penalties) and a Dancing Bear in between (Stroke Eraser)

Hole 15: I'm Rick Chains B$TCH!!! -- Multiple targets on the hole ranging from chains and a Rick Chains head that act as Stroke Erasers. There will also be a 15-20 foot OB circle around the basket that will be a one stroke penalty and force you to putt again from outside the circle if you miss from your last lie.

Hole 16: New-Mando -- Mando to the right of the tree near the tee that is indicated with arrow (that is also Stroke Eraser). There will also be the Rolling Stones mouth at the corner as an additional Stroke Eraser.

Hole 17: Monopoly Wheel -- Spin the wheel to determine your fate. A mounted satellite will also be placed behind the basket for possible ricochet shots and also act as a Stroke Eraser

Hole 18: Banner in middle of fairway. Brillo-Mick target at entrance to basket area. Both are Stroke Erasers. There will also be "Guardians around the basket that will act as "Stroke Penalties."

I will have a sheet to hand out each week explaining this so there is no confusion. But if you have played March Madness before, there should be no problems, other than making sense of our wacky changes ;)

We are ready to begin the tomfoolery next Saturday at 11 AM!!! Targets will be set up in the morning, and we can always use some help. Valuable league points will be given to all who help set up and take down each week (1 point for each set up and take down).

Also, I have been given permission to leave a few of the targets up for the duration of league, which will lighten the load for set up and take down. This will namely be the Mando arrows (Holes 3, 10, 11, and 16), and the Spy vs Spy targets on the Double Double Mando on hole 7. These will hopefully set up next Thursday or Friday.

And don't forget the prize donations for the post-round raffle!! Points will be given for any prizes donated (based on value), and bag tag numbers will be used to draw available prizes each week. Prizes available will be based on donations and a few things I have in store.

The meeting will most likely be at the Garage Bar in Willoughby, off of Vine Street (the old Skelly's). If the venue changes, I will communicate that ASAP. All are invited, and we could use your ideas and help.
