About this league

Optional $1 for CTP also.

FSD for 2016 will be very similar to last year, with just one minor change.

The points system will be the same as last year, and aces will only be worth 10 bonus points to the individual player (see below for further details).

Each player starts each event with 5 points. When the round is finished the TD will average all scores to the nearest .5. If a player's score is lower than the average the difference is added to that players score. So if the average score for all teams is 56 and a player threw a 53 then 3 points would be added to his score giving him 8 points for that event. Visa versa if the average is 56 and a player threw 59 then 3 points would be subtracted giving him 2 points. All players get at least 1 point. Bonus points go to the winners (+5) and to anyone who throws an ace (+10).

I need each TD that is going to run doubles and participate in FSD this year, to start your own LEAGUE on Disc Golf Scene (DGS). I would ask that you also have one to two alternate TD's that have access to your league on DGS in case results need to be added or some type of correction needs to be made and the primary TD is unavailable. Each league will be kept separate in DGS.

I know that being a TD takes a lot of work and FSD is a six month commitment. Not only do you need to be there week in and week out, but you also have to calculate the points and then enter the results on DGS. This takes a lot of dedication, and I appreciate your doing this. With this being said, if by chance a league goes 30 consecutive days without entering their results on DGS, that league will be dropped and will not be allowed to participate in Freestate Doubles for the remainder of that calendar year.

At the end of the year, we will take players from each LEAGUE and they will compete in the Freestate Doubles Champions Division. The number of players that will qualify will be determined at a later date, as we get closer to the end of the season. Anyone that doesn't make it into the Champions Division, will be welcome to compete in the Field Division.

The "overall" points champion will be determined by taking the #1 points earner from each league, and dividing their total points by the number of rounds that they have played. The player with the best scoring average will become the Freestate "overall" champion for the year.

Additional information regarding the finale will be posted at a later date.
