Yes you saw it correctly . . . Zach Otto aced twice tonight (#4 and #8) splitting his own ace pool of $33. Ryan Hinterberg made a big push up the leaderboard with the other contenders struggling slightly this week. It will all come down to the dropped weeks. I will publish the new handicaps as well as the current adjusted scores so that you all know where you stand going into the final week. I will not have the trophy done because it is a travelling trophy but those in the top 3 will get to select your lego player for the trophy and I will have the plaques made up next week. Remember this is a trophy that stays with me but has the previous two years on it and next years winners will also be forever commemorated on this trophy . . . then it will be time to find a new trophy.

My run in second place is about to end . . . I have been here every week and been very consistent but it looks like there are 4 or 5 other people who will be contending while I am away. I can only hope to shoot some really hot scores the last 4 weeks of league after I return. Best of luck to everyone . . . and Be Abominable while I am gone. You are certainly more deserving than me because I go south to warm weather every winter.

$93 had accumulated and Jon Nishnick walked away with all of it tonight despite the group behind him cheering for a split of the ace pool on every throw after we heard it go in.

Jon also shot the hot round (after handicap) on the night elevating himself in the standings.

We also say Morgan Ekern unable to attend tonight and he lost his lead by just 1/2 a point to Ryan Hinterberg. Tim Jeffords also made a leap tonight into 3rd overall with a decent round.

As you can see . . . leaders can change quickly and you need to remain hot or at least consistent for a long period of time to win this league. Next week will mark the halfway point and it will be interesting to see how the second half goes. I know I will be missing next week because of a family getaway and at least 3 weeks because of my winter vacation. I'm afraid this may have been the highest place I will be all year unless I come back really hot in March!
