The top four players put on a show tonight and it all came down to how they finished tonight. It even changed between Quaker Steak and now because I made a math mistake in what I announced.

Greg Weber put out his personal best tonight (-10) and two other times this season in order to hop into the 1st spot from the 4th spot (of total points). He totalled 92.5 points and dropped (0,0,1,3) 4 points for a total of 88.5.

Coming in second was Tim Boville who shot his second best score on the season (-7) tonight and totalled 91.5 and dropped (0, 1, 1.5, 2.0) 4.5 points for 87.0.

Hanging onto third was Jesse Dixon who still shot (-9) tonight and playing with his largest handicap of the season. He totalled 91.0 points on the season dropping (0, 1.5, 1.5, 3.0) 6 points for a total of 85.0.

Finishing in a very respectable 4th spot was Morgan Van Ekern only 1/2 point behind Jesse and unfortunately was my original math error. Morgan totalled 93.5 points but also had the most dropped points of the whole league (0, 2, 3.5, 3.5) 9 points to finish at 84.5.

What a season it was . . . some decent weather, some terribly cold weather, and an average season for snow. Thanks to all for keeping things going while I was gone, Tyler for running the league in my absence despite not being a regular attendee, and all you die-hards who toughed it out each week. We saw no less than 6 people this year and an average of 10 people across the whole season which was at least 1-2 better than the first year (last year). Help spread the word about our nutty group of people and lets get the average up to 15 people next winter! As Jesse would say . . . "When many are not.....we are!" is now the official motto of Abominable Snowmen League. We play through anything . . . unless we are the league director and we head south to warmer weather! I enjoyed it all thoroughly as I do with any league I run! you guys make it so easy to keep doing more and more disc golf leagues and events!

OH And I really won't be there next week. Tyler Kollias will be the one running this league in my absence. I will be doing the handicap calculations each week because its a complicated spreadsheet, and he and I will be working on the scores and payouts together. He will have ligthed pens for use during the rounds but please bring lights for the baskets each week as most of my inventory of lights has been seriously beaten up, broken, and I need to look into a better option (like the ones Ken and Mike have been letting us use. They seem more durable!

Something interesting about last night is that it played as the hardest week overall both on actual score (averaging Even Par) and score compared to handicaps (averaging +2). So far we have had 3 weeks where we have averaged better than our handicaps suggest, 3 weeks where we have averaged worse than our handicaps suggest and 2 weeks where we averaged dead on our handicaps. I think the system is working! Now if I could only be in contention at the same time.

Tyler Kollias will be there to run league this week for me, since I have to attend a meeting in Delafield about my leagues and plans for the course in 2015 and beyond. Tyler will also be running them when I am on my vacation so be patient as he gets to know some of the new league players. Tuesday night is the last night available for makeup rounds as we return to regularly schedules league this Wednesday. I know there are still a handful of people who wanted to still get those rounds in. If you have played but not given me your scores please do so, so that I can hopefully have all payouts and handicaps, and standings correct on Wednesday when we play.

Well, we have had 13 rounds played for the first week of makeup leagues and 6 additional rounds have been played for the second week of makeup leagues. If you still haven't played just find someone else from the league (whether they have played their rounds or now) and meetup for a round. Tee off no earlier than 5:45 PM and turn in your scorecard using a disc golf app, an actual scorecard and take a photo of it for me. Lots of points up for grabs and some handicap adjustments are happening right now so the top of the standings is going to be moving soon!

For those that were not at league last night . . . it was decided that We All can play two rounds between now and January 6th to count for the two missing weeks due to the Holidays. As long as you play after 6:00 PM and before 6:00 AM and are with someone else from the league, this is acceptable. Please use this event page or facebook to coordinate these rounds and please send me a message about when you plan to play and include if you are paying for Ace Pool and/or Mulligans so that I know your plans. If you begin the round . . . that round counts, there are no re-dos on the round, weather delays, or anything else. When you are done, just send me a photo of your scorecard. You will owe me that money when we return to the regularly scheduled league time on January 7th. 2 people played one of their 2 rounds last night and I know I plan to not miss out on getting in these two scores especially because I will be gone for 3-4 weeks in February/Early March. I will update the scores, payouts, and standings on January 6th so that we all know where we are at on January 7th.

Scores have been posted but are Unofficial until I get to my office and double check my math at for the new players handicaps. I am pretty sure I did them right but I want to make sure they are accurate.

We did have an ace tonight by the hot round (after handicap) by Greg Weber. He takes home $26 for the ace and he also sets a new Net Handicap record with his (-8). Greg beat out Lori Locke who had an outstanding round of (-4) Gross which ended up as a (-7) Net. Brian Williams also was just one throw back of Lori with a (-6) Gross and Net. Congrats to the three of you for the top scores this week.
