We had to move the venue for The Bobis Ace Race to Raintree Park in Troy. There is no way we can use the other park due to other events taking place there this coming Saturday. Sorry for any inconvenience, please pass the work around that this event has moved to Raintree Park. Registration closes at 1:00 pm SHARP. 38 of the 120 spots available are reserved for members. That leaves 82 spots open to the players that get there first. Thanks! Bobis!

After the membership cut off on 1/24/15 we finished up with 38(x10=$380) total members. We also ended the official league season with $1,360 in The Bobis Super Pool. $1,360+$380 adds up to $1,740 Added Cash for members only. If no member hits an ace during the 18 holes of regulation during the Bobis Ace Race we will play 9 more holes(this format will repeat itself until at least one member has hit an ace). The Regular Bobis Ace Pool will also be added cash toward the ace race but this money is added for all players that attend the event, $528! Even if you didn't make it out to a BSD all season, $528 is up for grabs for you too! We will cap this event at 120 players. Bobis Club Members have priority and after that it will be first come first served. The Bobis Ace Race will be held at Raintree Park in Troy at 1:00pm on 4/4/15. We come together to remember Mike Bobis!

As of right now that would mean $480 added for everyone that shows up member or non-member, even if you have never played a single league round all year the regular ace pool is added cash for all. And for members that would be a COOL $2,104 added! Dang! See everyone at Firefighters on Saturday 3/21 as we all get 18 more chances to take it all down! The Bobis Ace Race is on 4/4/15, location TBD. Either Raintree or Auburn Hills Civic Center. Last week Darren Harper and the Motor City Chain Gang donated items for a free merch CTP. The MCCG donated a nice Comet and Darren Harper donated a bad ass Gentleman's Club Challenge Dry Fit(won by Brent Moreno).
With only two more weeks left in the BSD 2014/15 season Addison Oaks on 3/14 will be our best bet next week by a landslide. I will venture out there this week to check on course conditions. With the big thaw now here I can only imagine what River Bends will look like this weekend as far as the fishing goes. Warm temps + Stony Creek = Madhouse. And Firefighters is host to a non club event. Bobis Club Members DO NOT MISS OUT NEXT WEEK! Going into next week both ace pools combined is at $1,601! BOOM! I decided not to cap the Bobis Super Pool for the remainder of the season. If you hit it, you've earned it! We will play 24 shorts. Bobis!

This week BSD will follow the first MCCG sanctioned event of the year, March Mudfest. Lets beat down some walking paths out there! The Bobis Super Pool sits at $1,068 and will be capped at that amount. The regular ace pool is at $403($1 ace pool entry, no membership required)! If you haven't made it out to Bobis Saturday Doubles yet this year and plan on playing March Mudfest, it would be a great opportunity to get some practice out at Stony Creek the day before. 43 degrees on Saturday as well! Layout TBD. However, I am thinking 1-18 shorts. Bobis!

BSD will resume play on 2/28 at Firefighters Park. Last week we were at River Bends. It was super cold and windy but all of the tee pads were perfect thanks to John Hamel, Mike Walker and Josh Schulte. Thanks guys, I had a fun! Next Saturday is the Crosstown Classic in Royal Oak, it should be a good turn out with better temps in the forecast. The regular BSD ace pool is at $365! And The Bobis Super Pool is at $960! Boom! The 50/50 CTP has raised $341! I forgot who won the 50/50 yesterday but they walked away with $23. The MCCG ctp was won by Tom C. Thanks Motor City Chain Gang!

Many courses were brought up this pass Saturday at BSD about where to play next week. There is a great faithful out at River Bends that allows for good tee pads. Thank you guys for keeping the course playable! Lets do it, River Bends 2/14. We will play an 18 hole layout. Last week Mike Wood won the 50/50 for $36! The Motor City Chan Gang donated a March Mudfest(which is right around the corner) disc for a free CTP,congrats Mike Cole! Thank You MCCG! Herzog continued his reign of terror as he carried me to victory. Thats five in a row, nice job Zog Dog! John Minicuci hit a tee shot on hole #8 dead center last week but it fell out, wow! Great shot John! The Bobis Super Pool sits at $884! A single non-member ace would still be close to a $400 payout. Many good chances out at River Bends next week! A thank you to all of the players that support this league and help carry on the name of Mike Bobis.

This week at Firefighters will be the cut off for your BSD Club Membership, no exceptions after next Saturday. DON"T MISS OUT! Last week we had a season high 33 players! After putting much thought into where the league should travel to this coming Saturday...I've decided to keep it at firefighters. Because it is the new year I figured I would give everyone a week to come up with their 2015 park passes. Otherwise I was thinking Addison or stony again. River Bends is out for the season due to the stone paths that will chew your discs up. Bobis!

The Bobis Super Pool is at $220. And Regular Bobis Ace Pool sits at $91. On 12/13 we will be at Addison Oaks. I have obligations on this day so most likely Shaun Adkins or John Minicuci will be running the show. Its not too late to get you 2014/2015 Bobis Membership for $10. Remember 100% of you membership fee is added cash for The Bobis Ace Race for members only. Last weeks 50/50 winner was Shaun Adkins, he walked away with $23. Darren Harper donated a brand new pair of Ice Bug shoes for a Ctp, won by myself! However since they are to big for me Darren's pair of shoes will be re-ctped this Saturday at Addison Oaks! Thank you again Darren!! Marc Tokie cleaned out the regular ace pool and the Bobis Super Pool on hole 2 at Bonnie Brook and took home $103. This Saturday at Addison is the last grace period day to get into the Bobis Super Pool. After that you must become a member to have access to the Bobis Super Pool. Additionally, I need Calvin Harris and Steve Fox to contact me to link scores and membership. Thanks to all who came out last week! Bobis!

A few things for this Saturday. #1 Be on time. All fees associated with playing Bonnie Brook stay the same along side the $5 to play the doubles with the league. Also if there is a liability release form that you have to fill out you will be required to do so to play the league. This Saturday will be the first chance you will get to buy in for your league membership($10). I will be running the $2 BSD 50/50 CTP(50% goes to the winner of the CTP and the other 50% goes toward added cash at the Bobis Ace Race). I will allow a two week grace period, this week and next week at Addison if you do not get your membership you will be allowed to pay the $4 to get into the BSD Super Pool! After that you must pay the membership fee to be eligible for the BSD Super Pool. There will be a cut off date for memberships, as of now I have it set for 1/17/15. I may move this date to a Saturday in early February. Keep your eyes on the BSD page for schedule changes as I have already made a few. You may notice a new course on the schedule and it is in Hawaii(it is actually the GMV course, but shhhhhhh).
