Well it was quite a season, we had a lot of rain to contend with on Manic Mondays. Spring had the Match Play playoffs to decide the winners of each division while the Summer Session was just an un-alduterated free-for-all for points. It was still the customary Best 8/10 weeks to allow for people to miss weeks and still have a chance to compete for the season.

Open Division finished the same as it started the day.
1) Mike Harrington 33.5 points 
2) Brad Weber 29.0 points
3) Bill Sieving 19.0 points

Advanced Division was completely decided tonight with nobody remaining in the position they were in starting the night.
1) Brian Allender 46.5 points
2) Trent Peters 38.5 points
3) Adam Gonzales 30.0 points

Intermediate Division was a multitude of scenarios that could have played out very differently based on tonight's scores.
1) Brian Williams 64.0 points
2) Billy Barnes 50.5
3) Tyler Kollias 49.0

I also made a mistake in my calculations because I had an incorrect score for tonight (where I thought I heard people saying Jeff F had a +4, when he had a -4) but it didn't affect the trophies but here are the 4th-8th spots which I announced tonight.

4) Eric Knaak 47.5
5) Shawn Nyquist 43.5
6) Mike Gallant 38.5
7) Cody England 30.5
8) Jeff Friedewald 27.0

Recreational Division was all set tonight when Disc Dog was the only person to how up.
1) Disc Dog 19.5

Women's Division
1) Tracy England 8.0

Thanks again to everyone for their attendance at this league this year. I love the different formats . . . But I could have done without all the rain we had. Discin In The Dark will start September 8th at 7:00 PM and we will move the start time back to 6:00 PM as the light disappears earlier.

Putters Only is a challenging format . . . but it can teach you a lot about your game. I was surprised how well I drove with my Rhyno and even my wifes 150 DX Aviar tonight . . . discs I have avoided driving with a long time because I don't like the way they fit in my hand. SO I might have to consider driving with a putter more often. How did you fair? Did you learn anything about throwing putters or styles or techniques from watching others in your group?

Next Week is Mulligan Week . . . everyone gets to use at least 1 mulligan during the round.

So who felt the pressure to get the bounty scores? Who elevated their game and was motivated to hit those bounties?

I know a couple people who walked away with cold hard cash in their pockets last night Josh "Big Deal" Davies aced #6 which is a really difficult hole to ace. I heard it from the 9th tee. Bill Sieving also aced #4 to split the ace pool with Josh.

This coming week the format will be Alternate Tees. I will get to the course early to mark the locations we will be shooting from . . . and since it has been a while, some baskets will be moved after this weeks round. I have three people other than myself who will have keys and be able to move baskets more frequently since I am not able to get to Valley View as frequently with all the leagues I am running.

One of my favorite formats . . . why? . . . because anyone can win on any given hole. You might not be the best player in your division . . . you might not be the best player on your card . . . but even you (Yes that means You . . .anyone of You) can throw it under the basket. We will be going out by divisional rankings so you are on the same card as your closest competitors but don't think about that .. . just throw it under the basket and take the CTP!

Payout and points were based on your points earned not the overall score. This format is intended to make you think less about the repercussion of missing a putt and more about the points you can earn with birdies, pars, and even bogies . . .because anything worse will hurt you less. Be aggressive and make all the putts you can and don't think about the next putt.
