Hey Fellow chuckers, We are making part of our league buy-in this season a Super Color disc!! Any ideas welcome; Can even be a photograph!

If we select your design your club disc and club tag are free for the season - Free Buy-In!!

Almost anything goes...only limited by your imagination and the following:
1) 300 dpi/pixels
2) Art created to fit disc size (9 inch circle or slightly larger)
3) Pelham Tickheads (Tags League Name)
4) 2015 (the year)
5) file format should be: tif, psd, eps or bmp. If jpg - save using highest quality setting. all submissions (300 dpi/pixels)

Note:
1. no copyrighted material
2. nothing sexually explicit
3. may include the words: Tags League

Design submissions due on Monday March 2nd!!!! Send all submissions to [email redacted]. 5 League managers will make final selection.

We did it last year - it was inexpensive, warm and fun. Went down and back the same day!

We're doing it again !

If you're interested, here's some details:

WHAT:

We fly SPIRIT Airlines
You bring a disc golf bag - pack snack / lunch inside (it has to comply as your carry on bag)
Depart Logan 5:05AM non-stop to Myrtle Beach Arrive 7:25AM
We taxi 10 miles to Socastee Park.
Socastee is a public 18 hole, Par 63, with cement tee pads.
We play 4-5 rounds
At 5:30PM, taxi back to the airport. We have a five hour span for dinner and drink
Depart Myrtle Beach 10:32PM - Arrive Logan 12:22AM



*COSTS: Estimated $110 Airfare - $15 taxi - $10 Logan parking (sharing fees on parking /taxi)

Asking for volunteers to do Muldoon course improvements.

If two men could work with me for two hours at the time and day of your choosing, I will meet you at the course with tools. As a result of your efforts you will be rewarded with a sandwich of your choice and get a BIG THANK YOU for volunteering.

On the list of things to do:
Install 2 more benches on hole #7 and #9
Remove heavy collections of leaves
Re-level a few tee pads

I'm looking for two men to volunteer two hours in the month of November.

So if you could please - contact a buddy and get in touch with me (via email). We'll sync schedules, get busy for a couple hours and hopefully throw 18 after the work is wrapped up and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Thanks to everyone for another superb season of disc golf league! We had a record 63 unique players coming out for the action this year.

Bigger turnouts and bigger payouts yielded serious competition, guaranteeing each and every round would be worthy battle.

Extra special thanks to those who went above and beyond to help with the league or the course or both. There are many, but I must name a few in particular:

Bill & Norma Bruce from Breakin Chains --
- For sponsoring our league with over $400 donated towards league prizes and the year end BBQ, plus numerous giveaways throughout the year, including t-shirts and Eric McCabe signed discs!
- Also for an amazing job keeping the fairways grass cut & hosting Muldoon's first big disc events - Trilogy Challenge, Battle of the Aces, and the upcoming Discraft Ace Race on Oct 25th. Stop by their store, there's still time to sign up!

Mark Ravanelle --
- For working with the town to get funding for course projects and dedicating countless hours driving course improvements (new 16 + 17 holes), adding traction to tee pads, building super nice benches, picking up trash, and putting his life on the line in the ongoing war with the bees.

Ryan Metivier --
- For working with Discraft and helping making our dreams of a custom Tickheads discs come true.

Greg Bianco --
- Last but certainly not least. For stepping up this year on a weekly basis, taking on the majority responsibility of running the league
rounds, CTP and Ace Pots, collecting and posting scores every week, calculating stats, and helping with all other league admin and course improvement projects. Well played, Sir.


Now on to the League Finale Results --

Prizes this year totaled a record $585 in cash and $300 in Breakin Chains gift certificates, plus over 20 CTP and Ring of Fire prizes for the final day events!

Prizes included Tickhead stamped discs, Disraft Buzzz and Mantis, Discraft hats, Glow LEDs, Special Event Mako3 and Leopard discs (Thanks for the donation, Dan Nakamoto!), custom designed Honey Dippers (Thanks for the donation, Dave Cianciolo!), and an Eric McCabe signed Mercy (Thanks again, Breakin Chains!).

For anyone who won a prize shown above but missed the league finale day, I (Vijay) am holding your goods and will continue do so until I see you at the course, or you contact me to make arrangements otherwise.

Everyone who stayed until the end of the league finale day did not leave empty handed. All were given an extra Tickhead league glow mini, and a reusable Discraft score card. I still have a bunch extra Tickhead minis, which will be up for grabs during the league opening day next year. Come and get yours!

That's it. But wait, there's more!

Just because the league has come to an end officially does not mean you should stop playing! Everyone is encouraged to continue coming out on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings (soon to be afternoons) to meet up for some casual play. I know I will try to make it as often as I can. Some of the best disc golf weather has just arrived!

We will have a limited number of Tickhead-stamped discs available for sale before the league round starts this Tuesday, 7/22. The cost of the disc is $10, available to league tag holders only.

There is an assortment of Discraft ESP and Z Buzz, Z Nuke, and Z Crank discs, all in varying weights and disc/stamp color combinations. The stamp is the same as you've seen on this year's tag minis, just bigger.

I'll open shop at 5:00pm. First come, first serve. If we do not sell out on Tuesday, the remaining discs will go on sale before each league round until they're gone.

The Glow It & Throw It League Round held on Saturday July 19th will take the place of That Sunday League round; there will be no League held on Sunday July 20th as a result.



You will not want to miss The Glow It & Throw It Event!! Normal League Points will be awarded. 6, count them SIX!!! CTP holes will be designated. 5 CTP holes will have no buy-in!! These 5 holes will have glow discs and assorted greatness available to win for all with just a good throw. There will also be a Cash CTP for $2 buy-in - all proceeds go to the winner - no League cut for this one! There will also be the usual ACE Pot for $1. Night Ace will however get you 5pts!!!



Rules:

One CTP win per Chucker,

CTP winners gets an additional 1pt,

Night Ace wins the normal ACE pot, plus 5pts for hitting it at Night!!

All In Attendance will get the usual 1pt for playing.

Top 4 finishers get the usual League Pts

Glow It & Throw It League Night - Saturday 19th

Be there no later than 7:45 - 1/2 hr before sunset so we can do tags, hole assignments and buy-in for Cash CTP.

I'm looking for about 6 - 8 people to volunteer to help setup - let me know if you can help. Helpers should arrive at 7:15, or even a little earlier.

Any Glow stuff donated to the cause of glowing up the course is also appreciated. Dollar Tree store has glow bracelets super cheap - Buy some for yourself and a bunch for the course; the more glowy the course is the more awesome the night will be! Those people who need to glow a disk can use glow bracelets and clear packing tape. I'll have both on hand for those that need it, but bring your own if you can. Of course LED lights rock and can be purchased at Breaking Chains - Stop in and get a few if you can.

Should be great weather and a great glowing time! Remember this takes the place of the normal Sunday League round on the 20th.

The King of Aces - Vijay, did what only few have dreamed of - Aced The CTP hole to take all the cash pots for this Tuesday's round netting a whopping $228.75!! Big Congrats to Vijay who is without question the most Acing Pelham League member to date. The only thing left for Vijay, which I believe Jack Rulander was in hot pursuit of last year, is the often dreamed of, spoken of only under one's breathe, the elusive and nearly mythical, "Double Ace Round". This the only ace-like achievement left for the king of Aces. I suspect he will bag this victory soon. Congrats again to the King of Aces!!

Hey Fellow Chuckers - Time to show how much you appreciate your course.

We will be doing a a work party After the League round - in place of casual doubles. Not This Sunday, but Next - 18th. Should only take two hours if we get enough hands. We will be setting the mats in place on 16 & 17. As well as finishing the trimming on 16 & 17. Raking the leaves off #3 fairway and cutting up the fallen tree on 17 and the one on 3 fairway.

So, come out and support your course. If we get enough hands it will be less than two hours!

Greetings Muldooners!

The 2014 league start date has been set for Sunday, 4/27 @ 9:00am

I'm very pleased to announce that this year's league is being sponsored by Breakin Chains Disc Golf, located in the Granite Hill Business Center at 1461 Hooksett Rd, in Hookset, NH.

Breakin Chains will be contributing $300 in gift cards for year-end league prizes, plus $100 towards the BBQ at the league finale! Also, the first 50 to buy their tag this year receives a 10% off card to the Breakin Chains store, for all your disc golfing gear needs. Stop by and check them out!

2014 League Details

Schedule:

9:00am - Sundays
5:30pm - Tuesdays
(Note: Sundays moved to 9am this year instead of 10am)

Cost:

$10 one time buy-in for bag tag. Tag required for eligibility for points, CTP, Ace Pot, etc.

Points Series is slightly changed for this year:

1pt for showing up.
1st +5 pts
2nd +4 pts
3rd +3 pts
4th +2 pts
5th +1 pts

Optional $1 Closest to the Pin competition and $1 Ace Pots every round.
We also want to try doing an optional winners pot this year if there is enough interest.

Although league start is not for a few weeks, people are encouraged to start coming out on Sundays and Tuesdays to meet up for some leisure practice rounds leading up to 4/27. Nothing gets the winterizer out of those arms better than hucking some discs. The course still has quite a bit of ice, but tee pads are clear and the course should be melting off nicely with this weeks warm up.
