Well, alright then! Alright then! Thanks to everyone who came out to a Wednesday Night Lights event this winter. It was another fun one. The following list is of those who qualified for the Dubs Finale to be held at the Goon next week (the 9th). Please keep in mind that those who did not qualify are still welcome to attend. You'll just draw from the NIT deck ;-)

I don't know about you guys but last nights Dubs sure was a fun one! Twenty-two people showed up. That's the 3rd time we've hit that mark since we've been back at the Goon. Oh, and because of it, we paid out 3 teams :-) A score in the 30's was also hit for the 3rd time this year (2 by James B. (Derek M. and Jordan T.) and 1 by Joe S. (Cali)). Mike Miles hit an ace (#6) on the last Dubs of the month giving him the progressive pot of $122. Not bad for one throw. The fund is now reset back to $20 for February.

Hot damn! The Bounty Bar has been reset. The team of James Beckner and Derek Meier shot an impressive 37! That's -17 for you mathematicians. So, as of today, these two have the $50 bounty that I set at the beginning of the season for the best score thrown at the Goon during WNL. For anyone wondering which one they missed... it was number 1 their second time around. I know, WEAK!!! Jake Haskin and Toni Osiecki have the co-ed locked in at 47.

Don't forget, next Wednesday is a double points round. Lastly, to those of you who have prepaid leagues available, I thank you for that! It makes my job a bit easier. Two things to remember with the prepaids: 1) you can skip to the front of the line to check in at Dubs and 2) (preferred) you can text me saying you'll be there and I'll add you to the list. Going this route you don't have to be on property until 6:15. Or you can be out putting until that same time. Thanks again!

More people than usual questioned last night's payout. Allow me to break it down:

19 of you showed up to play. That means $76 was up for grabs ($4 per entry fee goes towards the payout). First place received $50, second place received $26. So yes, I paid out 4 of 19 people. Most of you know I have a spreadsheet that I created. I set it up to where it pays out in a 2:1 ratio. For instance: Say there were 21 people there. That would be an $84 pot. The 1st place team would get $42 for the team. 2nd would get $28. 3rd would get $14 to split. See how that works? From 3rd to 1st it would be $7/person, $14/person and $21/person. So the winners would get 3:1, 2nd would get 2:1 and 3rd would get 1:1. Sure it's not always gonna work out that perfectly but you should hopefully get the point. I'm pretty sure that some of you were glad to see 19 there. I know I was. Maybe you were comparing it to WND at Kincaid where we averaged 25+ per league. At that point you can definitely count on me paying out 3 groups. In fact, we paid out 4 groups a couple of times last year.

Another thing: if there are 3-10 people it's winners-take-all, 11-20 and I'll pay 2 teams, 21-30 for 3 teams and 31-40 to pay 4 teams. 41 or more and I gotta figure that out myself. I look forward to that day :-)

So, I hope some of your feeling weren't hurt. I know we all like to win (some more than others). The average winning score so far at the Goon is 42.25, let's round that to a 42 or a -12.

I'll leave you with this: we all play to win. If you want to avoid being left out of the cash... turn in a -13 or better and you should have a good chance to at least get your money back. I love playing for free and you should too. Anything else should be a bonus.

I received a few text messages in regards to if Dubs was cancelled or moved for this week. I thought I was clear last Dubs when we not only talked about it but agreed to simply move the date a day back, to today. So, we'll be at the Goon tonight at 6:15 (money) and we'll start up at 6:30.

Welcome back from the Desert, Henry Crankshaw! When we lost you, we lost out on the other Military guys that were coming out regularly. So thank you for your service and thank you for your commitment to the ADGA! You are MUCH appreciated!

Lastly, not to sound like a broken record but... Shawn G, Joe S, Loren B and Brian C, you have been warned. If I don't have your money by 6:15 every WNL league from here on out it'll be the non-member fee for you fellas (that's approximately 25 more weeks). Shawn offered to pay but I said after the announced date that I'd give everyone a freebee. It's marked on the spreadsheet that you 4 have used yours so don't think I'll forget :-)

I'd imagine we won't be playing #6 until it's frozen over and full of snow. A couple of you suggested playing a "longer #4" after #9 to replace #6 and I'm for it. Thanks for coming out!
