While the winter glow league is over, I thought that I would pose the question.....who wants to continue?
I will be unable to attend this week as I have parent conferences on Wednesday, but if there are some of you who are interested, I would encourage you to continue.
While I am on the subject, is there interest in a spring/summer glow league? I may or may not be able to facilitate it but would be happy to help one or two of you out if you wanted to get into managing the league. Send me a message if you are interested....we can go from there.

I apologize for not posting yesterday. Kids and family have had me running like crazy.
Wednesday night looks like it will include 27 holes, ideally White-Blue-Red. Format will include changing partners each 9. You take your score with you when you change partners. Points awarded at end of the night are on YOUR score for the evening. 2 points for participation, 1 point for each person you beat, and 2 points for overall victory.
$15 all-in covers play, Ace Pool, LOTS of CTPS (8 or 9 guaranteed, likely a few more), and likely food(pizza). CTPS will include a few club stamped discs(Glow Nuke, Glow Comet, Glow Buzzz, and D-Magnet), as well as a few other discs that I have collected or have ordered recently for the final night.
Ace pool available for those who have previously attended a league night this season.

Please try to arrive early, If we can start a little early (say around 6:45) it would be a HUGE help.
Please post on the home page if you are coming on Wednesday. It will help insure that everyone is accounted for.
Lastly, 6 state berths will be awarded. There are several of you who are in the running. Please don't miss out on a chance to earn your ticket to States.

Looks like a large majority of you are interested in playing 27....so let's plan on that. Please try to get there early on Wednesday. Personally, I would like to start as early as possible as we are throwing in another 9. If we could start somewhere between 630/645 it would help us all in facilitating a smooth round.
More formal post to follow later this afternoon with specific details. One heads up, due to the large amount of CTPs planned, please expect the cost of all-in being $15(dependent on participation, I am planning 9-10 CTPs at this time).

Looks like another cold night for us....what's new? However, it does appear that there is a warmup coming(that being in relative terms to what we've had so far). Predictions for high 20s, mid 30s, and temps even approaching 40 within the next week.
Hopefully tees are clear, but I will try to get there by 6 to check them out. Details to be presented tonight regarding next week's finale. A current plan includes 3 rounds of 9 holes, with a change of partner each round. Discussion is welcomed tonight.
Lastly, still have some WC stamped discs left. Glow Comet, Glow Nuke, Glow Buzzz, as well as D-Magnet. Great prices bring a little extra cash. $10 all in tonight with 3 CTPs offered.

Club disc order should be ready sometime this week. Have 50 discs ordered, 5 different molds: Z-Buzz, D-Magnets, and Glow Nuke/Buzzz/Comet. All feature a club stamp from Discraft. I think with the ice covered tee pads at MBD, Bandy will have safer conditions as well as offer some protection from the winds that are predicted. Please make the change on the home screen...this will help determine who has seen the message as well as confirm your attendance. I started the group on the main page. Well, lots of snow brings on the aces. 2 Aces recorded last night in well over a foot of snow. Scott Sprow Aces hole 2 while Foz Miller answers on Hole 4. Due to excess snow, 2 rounds of Reds were played last evening. Brian Crouch and Brooke Plantz take home the win at -14 with Miller/Reslock and Sprow/Ross tying for second at -12. Solid and close scoring this evening. Brooke takes home 1st place shooting -11. Solid scoring for the rest of the field, who were separated by only 4 strokes. Floyd Hampp and Brooke Plantz took home hot score with -10. Ben Calhoun was one shot back, and Ron Howard and Scotty Reslock took home 3rd. Thank you to Jay B and the Jackson crew for making the trek tonight. Next week we will NOT have our usual Wed night league as it falls on Christmas. Time to get those LEDs on your discs gang. I will have some available tonight, Foz has some as well. I will try to get there by 6:30 at the latest. Chance of double points is looking good for DGLA points. A reminder, WC Glow does not currently offer double points for 15 degrees or less.

By popular request, we are going to move this week's round to Waterworks park in Ypsi. This was one of the courses that was being considered at the beginning of the year to use for our league. Much like Bandy, it is a 9 hole course which features three different sets of tees. We will keep the same start time of 7pm. Send me a message if you have any questions. It was a night to remember, that is for sure. League newbie Scotty Reslock and Brett Russell teamed up to take first place. Both Scott Sprow(#4) and Jeff Lozowsky(#6) recorded aces. Thank you to Ben Ross who donated a New Lost Disc Tribe stamped disc for a CTP(check out their league on Sundays at 12 noon)....Highlight of the night has to be Timmy Redman who joined league tonight AND smashed hole 14 for an ace, taking home $60 in the process....talk about making a statement. Good night if your last name is Jopps. Team Jopps take home a win, and Jason cashes in on the ace pool, knocking in the ace on 5 Red. Congrats! Cash CTPs earned by Shane Brayton(2), and Foz Miller. Thank you to Ben Ross who donated a Magnet and a mini as a CTP this evening, which was won by Tim Weir. Ben runs the Lost Disc Tribe club out of the Jackson area. Please consider coming out to play one of their league days or their upcoming doubles tournament (Nov. 16).

Next two weeks (10-23 and 10-30) we will be at Mary Beth Doyle. Same start time of 7pm. I will not be in attendance next week, so Foz is in charge. Please bring a few extra dollars as we have tentatively planned some CTPs.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 7PM
With input from several league participants, we will try rotating between Bandemer, MBD, and possibly another course or two during the league season. First 4 weeks will be locked in between Bandemer and MBD.

First official night is October 9th. League finale will be on March 6th.

We currently play best shot – doubles.

FEE STRUCTURE
$5 minimum in, 100% going to payout. OPTIONAL: $2 ace pool with 75% payout on an ace. Some weeks will have an optional CTP for additional fee.

POINT SYSTEM: 2 points participation + 1 point per person you best. Outright winner(no ties) each week receives an additional 2 points. Aces are worth 30 points towards your league total.

Hoping to see many of you out on Wednesday night for the first GLOW round. 7pm at Bandy. Have some new Z BUZZZ GT discs for sale: $20/ea. Five colors available: orange, pink, purple, white, and smoke.

Tees will depend on what is available. Course is still looking a little rough due to some storms from a few weeks back-although some of the major issues have been addressed (thank you Parks & Recreation). A few tees not super playable yet but we will see what cleanup takes place this week.
