OK a bit late but wanted to post the final results for the Ypsi Dubs Winter -={Church}=- league.

Thanks Jake Schooley for taking on running this league and posting the data. Thanks Jake and thanks to the many that help out - what a great cooperative effort and what a great group...

OK 20 weeks, 113 player - and a long cold winter but the getting out for Church always warmed my heart - if only it could keep my finger warm....

Solid consitent performances from all at the top of the leaderboard. Bruno edged out his father to take 4th - Keep tossing those pizza's Bruno. Ben Ciccarelli took 3rd and secured his name on the Ypsi Dubs pepetual plague in the lodge again - along with Sam smith in second and Ben Calhoun in 1st. Ben also secured his berth to the Discraft Michigan State Championships this year - Congrats Ben. We look forward to to some great repersentation by many Ypsi Dubs players at this Years State Championships in Ludington. Ben I need to get the Ypsi Dubs growler to etch your name upon the tropie as well.

Theer will be two berths up for grabs during the Ypsi Dubs Summer -={Church}=- league.

Most of you know Ypsi Dubs Church Summer is already in full swing - this year you can miss 4 rounds - best 16 of 20 rounds - see yeah at Church. You know your Mom wants you to go to -={Church}=-

We are also in the process of replacing all the brooms at each tee pad. Mainly we need broom handles. If you see any old brooms we will be happy to re-use them for the course.

We also have permission to start to mark tee pads and basket placement in the new area. We'd like to get a feel for how holes play and then get it all approved.

Steve Wait also expects the branches to be chipped soon and we will have a course improvement day to putthe wood chips where they are really needed.

Well a beautiful winter round today for Double Points. Jake Schooley took the CTP on Hole 1 from Sam Hardesty and grabbed one of the New MDGO Crystal Buzz - limited supply gett'em while you can....

The 50/50 was hit by Chilly and he also grabbed a Crystal Buzz. Going Quick....

Jake Schooley on Fire hit the 100% on hole 6 to help him also cash for the day - scores to be posted shortly by Jake - Thanks Jake...

Sam Smith paid off the Snow Elfs to put his disc in the basket for a Blind Ace on hole 17 - Draining $250 of the Ace pool and collecting 25 points for Ypsi Dubs and 50 Winter Ace points for the DGLA MiCPS-W. Nice Shot Sam....

NEXT WEEK LONGS since we have not played them in awhile and Sam 1/2 drained the Ace pool - Blame it on Sam ;-)

You do not need to be a resident to provide feedback. They already have Disc Golf listed as an consideration for future activities. Please provide feedback if you value Disc Golf in the area.

Yeah - I'm lov'n it. Disc Golf Winter frenzy Sunday at Rolling Hills - Way to support guys and gals. A raiding party from 24 Chain, the Ypsi Dubs clan and Team Night Moose, all descending on Rolling Hills this Sunday for Two back to back Mega Fun "Winter" League rounds with a little group Bar-B during the lunch break. Ypsi Dubs Church starts at 10:30 and Night Moose is at 2:30.

Ypsi Dubs will take care of the Hot Dogs - cooking on a small portable grill. Several have asked if they can bring stuff - THANKS!. This is very informal. Hot Dogs are free as a THANKS from Ypsi Dubs to all our good friends who join in celebrating the day. I believe a few are bringing Chips. You can use the talk section to coordinate to ensure we don't have 500 cookies which would go to waste knowing this group - well depending on the type of cookies - some are just magically delicious - must be the white chocolate or Macadamia nuts...

Help me get an idea of how many players to expect by posting in your intentions in the two Rounds that are scheduled on the Disc Golf Scene home page http://www.discgolfscene.com/ 10:30 Ypsi Dubs Church and 2:00 Night Moose. I want to make sure I have enough condiments for the three way - Lunch that is..... Also it helps build the numbers and excitement ;-) I'm excited and looking forward to a fun day.

This means Two League rounds at Rolling Hills this Sunday and three times the fun! What a group! Also quiet nice for those who like collecting points ;-)

Ypsi Dubs will have some Hot Dogs on the Bar-B during the break. Ypsi Dubs Church starts at 10:30 as normal and Night Moose round will start at 2:00. I know that there are several others who play Rolling in the afternoon that indicated they would be there. Sounds like a great Winter Disc Golf League day - Oh are we Blessed or what - Peace

24 players started the Ypsi Dubs ~={Church}=~ league off with a bang and the points race for the top three to make it on the plague in the lodge has begun.

Ben Calhoun and Dan Dunigan took first with -13 and 26 points to start off the season. Bruno and Sam S won the four way playoff with -9 to capture 3rd and due to that 4 way tie each of the four groups only get 16 points. Josh H and Ben C. came out of the throw off in 3rd place overall and $30.

CTPs Mick M got closest to the pin on hole 8 and Sam S got closest on hole 3. Bruno took the 50/50 CTP on hole #9 and Harvey took the 100% on Hole 1.

I said we started with a Bang - Steve Stephens hit hole #6 for the Ace - grabbed $94 dollars and 50 pts for the Winter Ace.

Now these are just Ypsi Dubs points as the DGLA MiCPS does not start until Nov 18th but it's a great warm up.

See you all at Church next Sunday. Don't forget the A3 Point Series is at Rolling on the 18th of Nov.
