The problem is that only a few people are actually putting in work at the course....You dont have to wait for a "certain" day or time to come out and do work(thats the beauty of the "adopt a park" program)....come out and work when you have the time. Too many people are just waiting for a whole bunch of people to show up, and if no one shows then they dont want to put in time and work. If you want to see the course stay sharp and good looking GET OUT THERE! simple as that.....we dont need more people "in charge" and as far is i'm concerned every one of us is in charge of keeping the course tidy...the course isnt going to clean itself. I think scott has been doing a great job trying to establish some sort of organization, but that doesnt mean if you dont hear from him then you dont have to put in any effort. Take initiative to spot out problem areas you see and take care of them....most of us know the course well enough to know when somethings overgrown. I know there are certain people that are out there 4-5 days a week so why not sacrafice a round and use that hour to do some good.....the course will thank you, its called disc gold karma, and if you work hard you WILL be rewarded.

I know the heat has been overwhelming these past few weeks. So i am sure its been hard to get out to get a ton done. Scott and Chris just from playing out there the past few times it seems as though not many holes need a ton of work done, more just touching up on a few spots. Is this correct? I work during the week and the evenings are brutal with the heat. Any chance a few early risers might be up for an early sat morning cleanup like 6-8/9/10 just to maybe touch up a few holes that could use a little TLC. I am just speaking from my schedule of when i can lend a helping hand.

(doesnt mean you cant give people shit for not participating (i prefer you do it in a joking manner, in order to keep disc golf fun for everyone)) Many people who are members offered monetarily in order to watch the club grow. not everyone is going to have a ton of imput or time, and we should appriecate any time or imput greatly, and not expect anything out of anyone who hasnt vowed to give effort or time. I also think its important that our views are very diverse. Chris had some awesome long term goals and great ideas on some new hole placements that needs to be shared sooner than later so that we might be able to get so more imput and maybe make it happen. Do we need city approval to put in new hole collars? might talk to tyson about that soon

i dont disagree, but the city has made it know that they dont want a group of "kids" going out doing what ever they want to the course like its their own backyard. I honestly understand their point. As far as picking up sticks and taking care of overgrown parts that have been addressesd previously i dont see an issue with that. There also needs to be tracking with what needs to be done and new projects moving forward. If we have new ideas that we want to do they need to be addressed to parks and rec. I understand your frustration as far as having a governing body, or people having the excuse that they are only going to help on cleanup day ("when there is a group"). but the club needs to have someone in charge of course maintenance period. The biggest reason for this is when no one is in charge nothing gets done, this has already been proven in muscatine.

I understand maybe the need of a third person. this issue it seems though for chris and scott is time. Alot of the people trying to organize an effort is working at different schedules. i thought it was awesome previously when scott, tyson, chris were running it on thursdays becuase there was avaibility between the three of them for someone to be at the course thoughtout the day. This is no more the situation. I think scott is trying to make a good effort on trying to find time to talk to everyone who is intrested in cleanup. the problem is there really is no good forum for this. it might be best that we pick a time when most people are available keep doing it at the same time and hope that more and more people find out about it and show up. thats worked the best for us this year, with dubs and previously with cleanup. it seemed when i was helping that when people were playing and came across a group of us working on the course they were excited to help. I think if scott and chirs were up for this.....scott could be in charge of participation, getting everyone together, tools/ the event, and chris could be in charge of evalution of the course, saying hole #3 needs work etc ( isay this becuase he works out there and has a great understanding of what parks and rec is trying to accomplish at fuller). and myabe we can go from there. Scott is right, we do really need to get a group and sit down again. With Tyson most likely in St.louis long term we need to have people in place to evaluate short term and long term goals, fall tourney, etc. Worse case senerio a few of us could sit down one evening and talk....sorry for the short story
