I’d like to start by thanking each and every one of you for spending your offseason with us! Whether you attended every week or stopped in when you could, we greatly appreciate the support. Here are some stats from this season: After 16 Friday nights of league play, we’ve hosted 200 unique players, averaged 30 players per week in the AM division, and 11 players in the PRO division. Our highest attendance week was January 23rd, when we had 68 players come out on one of the coldest nights of the year!
Now one of the stats that means the most to me from this league was the turnout in the Women’s division! We’ve had 32 unique women participate this winter, with an average of nearly eight women competing each week, which is something I’m incredibly proud of and we hope to build on this next offseason!
This league all started with an idea. Create an 18 Hole Putting League Course to help players actually improve in the offseason through putting in real scenarios under pressure. Of course we also wanted to create a fun atmosphere, but we knew the combination between the amazing TOCA facility and the disc golf community as a whole, that aspect would come naturally.
After countless late nights of planning, meetings with the TOCA Staff, and the trips to deliver and set up equipment, we had everything ready to go for Week 1 on December 5th. We were absolutely blown away by the first night’s attendance…46 players showed up not knowing what to expect, ready to play. Immediately, we felt two things: Proud that the hard work was paying off…and extremely nervous about screwing it up haha :) thank you all for spending your Friday nights with us this winter. I hope to see you out on the course throughout the season!
First off, I’d like to thank my AMAZING wife for believing in my vision and for taking the single parent duty with our kiddos while I was out playing disc golf with you folks every Friday night.
Next, I want to give a huge shoutout to DISCRAFT for their incredible support as the title sponsor of the Enhance Flight Putting League. From logistics to fundraising, I truly can’t thank them enough for helping make this league possible.
I also want to recognize Visionary Disc Golf Nets and DryFly Chalk Bags for sponsoring the league as well. If you want the most durable and reliable throwing nets in the game, grab a Visionary Net, you won’t be disappointed. And if you have been searching for the perfect chalk bag to help with grip out on the course, try out my favorite, the DryFly Heavy Bag!
Big thanks to the TOCA Wixom for extending their facility to the disc golf community! They listened intently to our proposal, and were quick to share the vision for what the league could become. We hope you guys have enjoyed the venue! It’s truly a disc golfers paradise during the offseason. We just need to get our hands on a bigger field for next year so we can incorporate some fun throwing games as well.
Next, I need to give a massive shoutout to the individuals who have helped me run this league since week one. I absolutely could not have done this on my own, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done.
A massive thank you to Steve Mills, our assistant league coordinator, for his unwavering support. He has been a vital component of this league's success.
And the rest of the Enhance Flight Team….. Parker Beard, Joey Cupp, and Nick Nelson. Week after week, you guys were there hustling to help things run smoothly.
I also want to recognize Will Goeringer and Dan Newcomb, who really stepped up to help with course setup, tear down, and running the simulator program whenever they were able to attend the league. Seriously, thank you guys so much.
As a heads up, Enhance Flight Disc Golf will be running multiple tournaments and clinics this year. Starting with an Amateur only NADGT C-tier at Burchfield in Holt next weekend on Saturday April 4th. If you can swing it, we’d love to have you join us. We will be going above and beyond to provide a top level tournament experience. Our other two NADGT events this year are B-Tiers on Saturday July 11th at Independence Lake, and Saturday August 15th at Rolling Hills.
To conclude, please give us a follow on our social media accounts so you can stay updated on our activity within the disc golf community such as tournaments, clinics, and special outdoor skills events under the baseball field lights here at the TOCA Facility! You can find us on Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube at enhanceflightdg. We’re going to make big moves here in 2026 and hope you all can be a part of it.
Thank you again, you being here truly means everything, and we are already excited to start planning for next winter ❄️
