About this league
Fee per round $1
This is a new sanctioned tag league for Raptors Knoll Club Members.
Each player will pay $1.00. Half of this dollar goes to the PDGA and half stays with the club. The additional $2 is for the optional Ace Pot. This will accumulate throughout the 10 weeks and then be split amongst the Ace winners.
Each player will choose one of three divisions-Reds, Blues and Golds according to the tee pads at Raptors.
PDGA rules must be followed in leagues just as they are in regular tournament play.
Each PDGA member will receive an official rating from each league round attended that will be included in that player’s total average rating.
Players do not need to compete every week in order to play. They may play as many or as few weeks of the league as they please.
All ratings are unofficial until the TD report is submitted following the completion of the league.
All unofficial ratings can be viewed in the league results section of the PDGA website.
By receiving ratings, it will help players to determine which player division they are best suited for in sanctioned tournaments.
PDGA members will receive PDGA points, which is the primary criterion for earning an invitation to World Championship events.
FAQs
Do I have to be a current PDGA member or pay an extra fee?
There's no temporary membership fee to play in a PDGA league. However, non-members will not receive ratings they can see online nor earn PDGA points.
Where does my money go? Half of each $1 USD minimum mandated player fee stays with the facilitating club of the league for expenses such as course improvements or new baskets, charitable donations, or other avenues that will help the sport of disc golf continue to thrive and grow.
Do players earn PDGA points?
Yes. Players will earn PDGA points based on how many players they tied or beat in their division during each week of play. League points are 1/2 the amount of points of a C-Tier tournament.
How are points awarded and players ranked in PDGA League results?
Since not all players will play each week of a league, the total score across all weeks can’t be used to do rankings, so ranking is instead done by total points earned within each division of the league. Points are awarded based on how many players a competitor either ties (including themselves) or beats within their division during EACH week of play times the points factor for that division.
