The Ace Race is back on National Disc Golf Day, August 3rd. 24 Chains always hosts a good one and I'll be signing up this week. If we can get enough people to sign up we can have a No Bounds group meet in the morning and have fun trying to hit aces. Lots of prizes available even if you don't get an Ace so sign up and we'll get our group ready for plenty of Ace Runs.

Congrats to Tom Chrobak, David Walz, and Jack Ramsay for winning their berths to States today. Tom and David had the hot round of 51 (-4) from the White tees. Jack Ramsay had the hot round from the shorts at 44 (-10). We gave away 5 discs today and the weather was great. We’ll be back in the fall with some double rounds. All of those invited have been added to the event page on UDisc. So when you show up on Saturday we can use Udisc and I'll get teams assigned before hand. If you can comment here or on Facebook if you're for sure coming or not that will help me with teams set up. I'm hoping that this will go smoothly but it is my first time using Udisc for something besides a league round.

For the No Bounds Invitational we will be playing a Doubles Round from the White Course and we'll play the 9 White holes loop twice. We will team up the top ranked player with the lowest ranked player ... show more ›

For the No Bounds Invitational we will be playing a Doubles Round from the White Course and we'll play the 9 White holes loop twice. We will team up the top ranked player with the lowest ranked player and work our way down. We have 31 players so if everyone shows up or if we have an odd amount then we will have a Cali player. That player will get 1 rethrow per hole and they will not be able to carry it over for each hole.

We will meet between 8-9:15, make cards around 9:15 and tee off at 9:30. We'll play our doubles round. The winning team will earn their berths to the State Championship. If the Cali player wins then they will get the berth. If there is a tie then there will be a playoff for the teams starting at Hole 1 until we have a winner. That will leave us with 1 or 2 berths to give away and for that we will play 1 round from the short Red course with 18 holes (these are all short holes) The winner of that will get the last berth, if two berths then 2nd place will also win a berth. If there is a tie we will do a playoff.

We had a couple of ties in the standings and to determine the higher ranked player this is what I did. 1st was if either player had a win for the year. 2nd tiebreaker was head to head between the two players. 3rd tiebreaker was highest finish for the season. Here are the standings:

Thanks everyone for coming out this season. Probably will be back in the Fall and I'm thinking if you play some rounds in the Fall it will carry over to the Spring/Summer season for weeks played.

We are in our final week of the Spring/Summer and are playing Rolling Hills from the Shorts. No OB this week.

There are 6 players that can play this week and get their invite to the No Bounds Invitational on July 13th. They are Bill Karr, Brian Crandall, Jack Ramsay, Jeff Kennedy, Joe Blakeley, and Tyson Wisner.

After Friday 7/5 our next event will be the No Bounds Invitational on July 13th for those who have played at least 7 times this season. After that we'll take a little break and come back in the Fall to a shortened season. I'm thinking if you get a certain number of Fall rounds in that will count as 1 round for next year's Invitational.

With the holiday weekend coming up we'll play at Bandemer and play the Red & White tees. When you score your rounds the Red tees will be Holes 1-9 and the White tees will be Holes 10-18.

Tomorrow we are at Kensington and playing the Green course. OB will be over any fences. And there may have been a gator sighting in the lake there so keep your eyes peeled.

We've had 11 players earn their invite to our tourney in July for the State Berths. There are now only 7 more weeks left so any new players will need to play each of the next 7 weeks.

I have also changed the leaderboards to keep your 7 best point rounds and we will base the teams on your 7 best point rounds.

So far the top round is a 53 and 32 players have gotten a round in.

We are at Independence Lake this week to play the Red Hawk West course. OB will be the pond on Hole 4 & swamp on Hole 14 if your disc is completely surrounded by water. If so throw from the drop zones. If there is standing water on the course and your disc lands in it, treat it as casual and take casual relief behind it in line with the basket.

Last week we had 27 players come out and play 43 rounds. No aces but every hole did get birdied at least once. Congrats to Bill Karr & Zachary Brickner for scoring the hot round this week with scores of 43 (-11).

I'll keep track in the comments of how many rounds you have played so you know how many you need to play to be invited to the Invitational this July to try and win one of our berths this year. You need seven rounds played and there are 14 more weeks to go.

Week 1 starts this Saturday March 23rd! You'll have from 8 am Saturday until 8 pm Sunday March 29th. We are playing 1-18 from the shorts at MBD. There is no OB this week as we all knock that rust off our arms and chains.

For those of you who are interested in meeting up and playing a round we will be doing that Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm. We'll meet up and split into groups and throw our rounds. Good Luck this week!
