Ok, after a good bit of effort collecting the data, I believe I've got the scores and points figured out and calculated. You can see the updated standings here on the "scene" via the leaderboard. We have not yet opened the last round of leagues as we have double ctps to award and we were rained out last Saturday. Since the Northern Waters Series Tourney is this coming Saturday, we're holding the final round the following day, Sunday, August 28th. We hope you can all make it.

Hats off to Josh “J-Park” Pickard for throwing a hot round last week. His 57 was the lowest against his average and the lowest score of the round, earning him a whopping 23 points! We're moving into the final three rounds of the league, so most player's averages are fairly well locked down. It's time to bring your game up to the next level and earn those points. There's still time to get an ace, too, so put your best disc forward and seek those chains!

Foster, Josh, and others will be playing at the Friends of Newaygo tourney this Saturday. As many players have let us know they will not be playing on Saturday, we have decided to postpone the CTPs for a week, at which time we will have another double CTP round. However, after thinking it through a bit, we have decided that should a player who is able to play this Saturday not be able to make the double CTP round the following Saturday, we will be awarding an extra 5 points to all players who can play on Saturday and get us their scores by the end of that league day! Dialed in, Closed for Business...

Rob Buss nailed the first ace of the season on the old 17 with his FLX Surge just one day before it became the new 18. The following day, Josh Pickard crashed into #7's basket with his Elite Z Surge for the second ace of the season. Both brilliant shots earned them each big kudos and a slick “1” on their score cards, but because both aces were shot on non-league days, neither was eligible for a pay-out from the ace pool. Now that they're dialed in, they just need to “call” on league day!

In other news, the points race is off to a roaring start: Alex Best threw down his “best” round of the season so far to “shoot” into the lead with a total of 31 points. James Hurst also put in his best round yet to come in close behind Alex. “The Doctor” Leonard Johnson has opted to earn his points the hard way, shooting the lowest score of the bunch to earn an extra 2 points, keeping up with inconsistents at only 9 points behind our current leader. It's a close race with lots of time left. Go get yourself an ace! (Note: Look at the last number in your row on the leaderboard to see your average to play against in this week's round!)

The first two rounds of league are over and it's time to start earning those points! Due to a tournament in Mt. Pleasant, neither Foster nor Josh will be at the park today. This week is "open" - play your rounds any day of the week as there will be no CTPs out this week. However, next week, there will be double CTP's, including the newest one obtained via Alex Best - a free large Blizzard from DQ!!! Also, the course has been changed - the new #17 is ready to go with a fresh teepad and placed basket and the new 18 is set as well. Happy discin'!

The first day of BR Summer League played into Leonard's hand. The course legend picked up two of the three CTP's and shot the low-round of the day to earn an extra 2 points and take an early lead over the competition. Of course, his low round will make it harder to for him to earn points in the following weeks. At the other end of the spectrum, Gary "G'Luv" VanAlstine, James Hurst and late comer Harris Neill brought up the rear with scores sure to be easily beat. It's just the beginning and everyone stands a good chance of winning the berth to States in the points race. Don't forget to tell your friends about the league!

Gary “G'Luv” VanAlstine shot the low round and well under his average, but not low enough to keep newcomer Cody Ferrier from taking the top points place. The pair of them each took 21 points and Gary pushed his way into 2nd place. Harris Neill finally got a round under 100 and took a good many points as well. That's one dangerous 11 year old! Still time left to take home CTP's and big points. Tell your friends to come out to add to the money pot.
