We had 31 players come out for our 2022-2023 Fall/Winter Season Finale! We had pretty great weather for our final round which we played Red-Red Shootout. It was truly a battle with a 3-way tie at -17 between Sprow/Brayton, Cavender/Frame & Thelen/Plantz. They split first thru third cash & donated the remaining $10 to next season. There was a tie for fourth & fifth cash between Krumm/Anderson & Buchanan/Common, both with -16 scores. The cash was split evenly & also donated the remaining $10 to next season.

In true shootout fashion, there was 3 ACES during the round! Sprow aced Hole 1, Mark Ritchey aced Hole 2 & Scott Jones also aced Hole 2. They all left with $37 extra in their pocket. Congratulations to all & excellent shooting!

This was a fantastic Fall/Winter season with some of the highest player turnouts that we’ve had over the past several years. Over 90 different players came out for at least 1 round during this season & an average of 30 players per round! Thank you to everyone who came out & made this a very successful season.

Our 2023 Spring/Summer season will start on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Bandemer. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in the daylight & playing in short sleeves! We hope everyone has a great couple week break & is able to get out for some fun casual rounds during our break.

Great night with great people and we had decent weather to play the round. We played the RW-WR layout, red being played on hole 7 both rounds due to the large branches down in front of the white and blue tee pads.

Hot score on the night goes to Whittman/Riddle shooting -14. It was a great round guys. We had a pair of -12s by Blansett/Brayton and Sprow/Wiatr. Coming in with a -11 was Tschirhart/Evans, and the last payout at -10 went to Krumm/Trombley, who had tied with Ritchey/D. Kelly, and Desjardins/Perras.

This Wednesday is the last league round for Fall/Winter. We will have additional CTPs available for the round. If you have something that you would love to put up, please consider bringing it. Otherwise, the club will provide some extras for the round.

Look for Nate to be taking registration....I am hoping to make it, but as of now, my daughter has a scheduled event at school tomorrow evening. It starts before our league round, so I am hoping I might be there by the start, but will certainly be there at some point shortly after.

Also have the 5 berths to award for Am States. If you are near the top of the leaderboard and eligible, please make sure you are in attendance. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.

There was 28 players that came out for leagues last Wednesday. The weather was great with warmer temps & no snow/rain. We played a new layout of BR+W, which lead to a hot score of -14 from Sprow/Wolodkin. Adding to their hot score was an ACE from Sprow on Hole 2 from the White pad for the second round in a row!! Great shot Sprow & good shooting on the evening. Second and third cash was split evenly between Monteith/Blansett & Frame/Scott, both with -10 scores. There was a 4-way tie for last cash between Chapman/Sweet, Krumm/DesJardins, Anderson/Pilon & T.Magner/Ritchey, all with -8 scores. The cash was flipped for & Chapman/Sweet took it.

There’s 2 weeks left in the 2022-2023 Fall/Winter season. This week (March 8) & next week (March 15). We’re scheduled to play at Bandemer both weeks. The weather is looking pretty good for this weeks round. With the past 2 weeks of bad weather, there has been a fair amount of fallen trees & debris on the course. I have contacted the A2 Parks department to see if they can get out there & clean it up before our round this week. We’ll see how that pans out.

As reminder, we have a few rounds left. We have a few things going on:

1. We received 5 Berths to the Discraft Amateur State Championships. I intend to award those when we wrap up the season. Those at the top of the leaderboard, be thinking about that.

2. We are still running a raffle for a portable basket (I have 2 MVP baskets). We will be awarding one of them for sure. Tickets are $5 each, or 6 for $20 (Math says that is the better deal). We have $60 in tickets sold at this time. Really good odds that the winner could be you if you buy some tickets. Money goes to support the club!

League will be cancelled this evening as our area will be enduring some mixed winter weather that includes freezing rain. With safety being the most important factor, driving conditions will not be ideal and would rather everyone be as safe as they can.

I have a added a week on at the end of the season and may look to add one more to make up for missed weeks.

We had another oddly warm Wednesday evening this past week with dry tee pads & dark skies. Warm enough to play some Blue pads… so we played at BW+R layout which created a bit of score separation. Taking solo first cash with a -14 & winning by 3 strokes, was Common/G.King. Killer round guys! There was a 3-way tie for second, third & four (last) cash with -11 scores between Trombley/DesJardins, Herron/Selig & Thelen/Monteith decided to split the cash evenly.

Sprow got an ACE on Hole 2 from the White pad! Added $136 to his pocket & 30 points to his league standings. Nice shot friend!

We’ll be keeping an eye on the weather for this coming weeks round on Feb. 22nd. There is a prediction for either a lot of snow or a lot of frozen rain, which makes for dangerous driving conditions. We’ll post updates on DGS & Facebook as we get closer to the round & make a decision if we’ll have to cancel or not.

Last week we had 32 people come out for a round of RW-WR alternating pads at Bandemer. The weather was great for early February with temps in the mid 30’s, low winds & clear skies. Good conditions lead to a 3-way tie for first, second & third cashing spots. O’Leary/Herron, Sprow/Tschirhart & Ritchey/DesJardins all shooting -14 scores & splitting the cash with a disc flip for the bonus $10. Fourth cash went to Chapman/Buchanan with a -13 score. Monteith/Kelly took last cash, shooting -11.

Last week was one of our smaller turnouts this season, which makes sense considering the 4-6” of snow on the ground & 18º temperatures. 24 people still braved the cold snow & came out to Bandemer for a Red-Red Shootout! As the name implies, there was a battle for first cash, but it’s hard to beat a blistering -18 score from Thelen/Tschirhart! Fantastic shooting guys! Jones/Common were right there with a -17 score that included an ACE from Scott Jones on Hole 6. Scott took home $148 & added 30 points to his league standings. Congrats friend! Third & last cash was flipped for between Krumm/Pilon & Kelly/Wittman, both teams with a -15 score. Krumm/Pilon won the flip & walked with the majority of the cash.

While the conditions are not the worst we have seen, I know that they are not ideal for travel. I would rather have you safe this week and not risk the travel and conditions getting worse for us.

We have some white stuff that is coming our way. Accumulation is expected to be 3-5 inches. Based on current forecasts, a lot of that will be here prior to league start time.

We are watching the forecast and will honestly need to wait until tomorrow to see what conditions are like. I would hope that we can continue to hold league tomorrow, but will need to see what driving conditions look like tomorrow afternoon. We value each and everyone that comes out and would never ask you to risk the drive if you are not comfortable driving in winter conditions.

We hope to be able to update you closer to 4pm tomorrow regarding if league is on or not.

A great evening for disc brought out 32 players last night for our round at Bandemer. We played a White-Red layout that lead to a hot score of -13 from Sprow/Kurtanski, taking solo first cash. Second & third cash was split evenly by Krumm/Caldwell & Anderson/Weilacher, both teams with -12 scores. Fourth cash went to Common/Thelen with a -11 score. There was a 5-way tie for last cash between Perras/Burrow, Kim/Tschirhart, Trombley/Wolodkin, O’Leary/Hamami & Clauder/M.Magner, all shooting -10. A disc flip decided that Perras/Burrow would walk with the last cash.

Just as a reminder, I need to submit my order for the very limited run of MDGO fundraiser discs this week. We were some extra time to sell these discs. Artwork / sample photos are available above in the pictures tab.

This discs will be picked up on Feb 12th. The following are the three discs that are being made available to us:

CryZtal Sparkle Challenger - $23

These prices are based up on in person pickup....I am happy to ship, but will need to adjust the price to do that.

31 people came out to Bandemer this Wednesday on another warmer-than-usual January evening. We had around 40º temps with low winds which was ideal conditions for some hot scoring. Taking solo first cash with a -16 was Herron/Jopps, excellent shooting guys! Second cash went to Ritchey/Blansett with a -14, that also included TWO ACES, one from Mark & one from Johnny B. They each took home $87 & added 30 points to their league standings. Incredible!! Third & fourth cash was split evenly by Pilon/Wiedenfeld & Jones/Weilacher, both teams with a -13 scores. Last cash was flipped for between Plantz/Kelly & Perras/Monteith, both shooting -12. Plantz/Kelly won the flip, but donated the $10 back into the league ace pool. We appreciate that!

The first league round of 2023 brought out 33 players to Bandemer. We played a 3B, 3W, 3R + 3R, 3B, 3W layout since the weather was unseasonably warm. A more difficult layout lead to some higher scores, except for Binienda/Thelen who shot a blistering -15 & took solo first cash. Excellent round guys!! Next closest scores were a group of -10s from Sprow/M.Magner, Greene/Caldwell & Tschirhart/Hamami. They split second, third & fourth cash & flipped for the extra $10 with Sprow/M.Magner walking with it. There was a tie for last cash with -9 scores between Krumm/Blansett & Kelly/T.Magner with Krumm/Blansett winning the flip.

This discs will be picked up in February (typically it has been Super Bowl weekend, but awaiting confirmation on exact date). The following are the three discs that are being made available to us:

These prices are based up on in person pickup....I am happy to ship, but will need to adjust the price to do that.

My understanding is that there will not be a MDGO Bar Stamp on these discs. Each of the 3 molds will have a custom piece of artwork themed with the mold of the disc. Artwork and sample images of discs were not available at the time of this post.

Second, third & fourth (last) cash was split evenly by 3 tying teams including Common/Trombley, Pilon/Woody & Selig/Wiedenfeld, all with -13 scores.

We had 33 people come out for our round at Bandemer last Wednesday when we played a RW-WR layout. Conditions were cold, relatively clear & calm, which lead to scorching PERFECT SCORE of -18 from Burrow/Weilacher, taking solo first cash. Incredible work guys! Second cash went to Sprow/Jopps with a -14 score. Third & fourth cash was split evenly by Clauder/Tschirhart & Chilson/Binienda, both with -12 scores. Last cash was flipped for by two teams including Common/O’Leary & Frame/Caldwell, both teams shooting -11 scores & the cash going to Common/O’Leary after the flip.

Included in their crazy hot score was an ACE by Logan Burrow from Hole 5 Red, which landed him $81 + 30 bonus league points.

Also on the ACE bandwagon, Scott Sprow got one from Hole 6 Red. Which put $81 in his pocket & added 30 bonus league points to his standing.

There will be a Holiday Alcohol Exchange this week (thanks Dr. Jones for bringing the idea to the table). If you would like to participate, please bring a bagged/wrapped alcoholic gift OR a gift card that is between $10-$15. Sprow will also have a couple of non-alcoholic options available to people who do not drink.

We will continue to play our winter rounds at Bandemer, but for this weeks round on Dec. 28th we will be going back to our original parking lot. PLEASE USE THE NORTH PARKING LOT, now that it has reopened for public use. We will plan on using the North parking lot for league rounds going forward. It really felt like winter for our round at Bandemer last night. 32 players came out to face the near freezing temps & wind almost the entire round. Selig (Cali) took solo first cash with a -14 score, excellent shooting Corey! There was a 3-way tie for second, third & fourth cash between Krumm/Wiedenfeld, Frame/Moore & Burrow/Hamami, all with -12 scores. Cash was split evenly. Last cash was flipped for by 5 tying teams with -10 scores including Herron/T. Magner, Common/Kim, Powell/Watts, Caldwell/Monteith & O’Leary/Ritchey. Herron/T. Magner won the flip & took the cash.

Bring a new disc golf related item approximately a $15-20 value (typical new disc value is around $15)....wrapped/bagged of course. Discs should be new, non-inked, and un-thrown. Other items are welcome as well (such as towels, chalk bags, minis, shirts, etc).

If you do not have something on hand, I will have club inventory on hand if you wanted to purchase something and participate. Reasonable pricing! I MAY even have some items selected and wrapped for you if time permits)

We will play our league round and then at the conclusion, gifts will be selected. In the past, winning scores from the round will have first choice at the "gifts" that were brought (assuming that they participated by bringing one themselves). If there are other ideas about how to make that happen, please message me to share your thoughts.

2nd place will go next, and so on until all gifts have been selected. We have done this for the past few years and I think things have gone well. In addition to that, who does not like getting some new disc golf gear?

Second & third place cash was split between Krumm/Thelen & Jopps/Ertman, both shooting -12 scores. -11 scores took fourth & fifth cash between Selig/Perris & Brayton/Frame. We had a very cold & windy night this past Wednesday at Bandemer. 24 people came out to play a round of alternating RW - WR pads, which lead to a hot score of -14 from Sprow/Jopps, taking solo first cash. Second cash went to Thelen/Caldwell with a -11 score. Third cash went to Jones/T. Magner with a -9. There was a 4-way tie for last cash with -8 scores from Krumm/Monteith, Trombley/Watts, Weilacher/Ritchey & Plantz/Wittman. A disc flip decided that Krumm/Monteith would walk with the cash.

Congratulations to Corey Caldwell who had an excellent first round with WC Glow League! He hit an ace on Hole 4 from Red, got both cash CTPs & took 2nd place! The ace was worth $122 + 30 bonus league points. Great shooting Corey!

We will continue our stay at Bandemer for the foreseeable future during the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 season. We’ll use the South parking lot like we have been doing until we get word that the bridge & North parking lot is open.

Weather was rather ideal last Wednesday for a round of glow, considering it’s late November. We had clear skies & above freezing temps for a round of BW + R at Bandemer. There was a 3-way tie for first, second & third cashing spots with -13 scores between Common/Chilson, Jopps/Monteith & Selig/Guldner. They split the cash & flipped for a bonus $10, which Common/Chilson took home. Fourth cash went to Powell/Blansett with a -12 & last cash went to Krumm/Kim with a -11 score.

There were 32 players that came out to Mary Beth Doyle for our round last Wednesday. We played the 9 hole Winter Loop layout twice (1, 2, Alt 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, Alt 14, 18). It was cold & overcast, but the winds were low, ideal conditions for a PERFECT SCORE of -18 from Common/Thelen, taking solo first cash!! Very nicely done. Second & third cash was split evenly between Sprow/Krumm & Clark/Tschirhart, both teams shooting -16. Fourth cash went to Brayton/Monteith with a -15 score. Last cash went to Trombley/Ritchey, scoring -13.

Adding to the excitement of the night, Joe Monteith aced Hole 1 & Oid aced Alternate Hole 3! Both pocketing $64 & adding 30 points to their league standing. Great shots guys!

Ideal conditions lead to a hot score of -14 from Common/Freeland, taking solo first cash. A tie for second & third cash between Blansett/Weilacher & Monteith/D. Kelly with -13 scores, teams split the cash evenly. Fourth cash went to Thelen/Armstrong, shooting -12. Last cash was flipped for by three teams, Perras/DesJardins, Sprow/Chilson & Neal/Anderson, all shooting -11. Disc flip decided that Perras/DesJardins would walk with the cash.

We had a great turnout with 36 players coming out to Bandemer to play a round of BWR - WRB pads. It was a perfect evening for disc with warm temps & clear skies. Taking first cash with a -12 score was Krumm/Monteith. Second thru fourth cash was split with the bonus $10 being flipped for between Trombley/Blansett, Thelen/Selig, & Common/Powell, all with -11 scores. There was a 3-way tie for fifth & sixth (last) cash between Sprow/Ms. Vick, Brayton/Clauder & Binienda/Wittman, shooting -10. A disc flip decided that Sprow/Ms. Vick & Binienda/Wittman would get the cash.

Jay Binienda aced Hole 9 from Red pad, took home $128 & added 30 points to his league standing. Great shot Jay B!

This past week we had 33 players come out to our first round back at Bandemer since last season. It was a chilly & damp evening with some very light rain/mist. Taking solo first cash with a -15 score was Monteith/Blansett. Second cash went to Bennet/Weilacher with a -14 score. Third, fourth & fifth (last) cash was split evenly by Trombley/Anderson, Thelen/Armstrong & Selig/Wittman, all with -12 scores.

Thelen snagged an ace on Hole 1 from the Red pad that put $184 in his pocket & tacked on 30 points, putting him in first place for the overall league standings. Nice shot Richard!

League this coming week (Oct 26th) is being held at BANDEMER. Since they are still working on the entrance and bridge to the park, we will be parking at the entrance off Main Street. Formal address is:

I have uploaded 2 images to the league page. Please take a look at both (one is a little bit larger and focuses on the entrance off Main street.

Using the entrance off Main Street, you will cross some railroad tracks and then veer left. The parking lot is dirt and has a number of spots. I will try to park at the far end of the parking area. Please look for my van. As usual, I will aim to have registration set-up by around 7pm. This entrance is a short walk from Hole 4.

Please let me know if you have any questions....Looking forward to playing Bandemer this week for a change. We will see how this goes and hopefully we can start implementing the park into the mix.

A cold & windy evening brought out 27 players to shoot a round of Short Pads at MBD. There was a tie for first & second cash between Pardo (cali) & Sprow/Perras, each team shooting -13 & splitting the cash evenly. Third & fourth (last) cash was flipped for between three tying teams. Brayton/Jones, Chilson/Kelly & Blansett/Bunker all shot -11. Brayton/Jones & Chilson/Kelly walked away with the cash after the flip.

Next week we’re scheduled to play Bandemer (woohoo!), but the main entrance is still closed as the bridge construction continues. I was told that the main (north) entrance is slated to open early-mid November. That being said, PLEASE USE THE SOUTH PARKING LOT accessible from Main St. & turning on to Lake Shore Dr. There will be further instruction/information posted about this, but plan on playing Bandemer this coming Wednesday (October 26th). 14 players came out for a rain soaked evening this past Wednesday at Mary Beth Doyle. Rain persisted nearly the entire round with cool temperatures all evening. We played the winter loop layout (1, 2, Alt 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18) two times. Even with the less than ideal conditions, Krumm/Armstrong shot -16, taking solo first cash. Second cash went to Brayton/Pilon with a -15 score. Sprow/Thelen took the last cashing spot, shooting at -12.

Herron/Tschirhart took third cash, shooting -11. Last cash was flipped for between Common/Anderson & Clauder/Thelen, both teams with -10 scores. The disc flip resulted in Common/Anderson taking the cash.

The weather was definitely feeling more like fall glow golf last Wednesday during leagues. Cool temperatures & clear skies lead to a hot score of -16 from Sprow/Ritchey, taking first cash. The first round of the 2022-2023 Fall/Winter season brought out 21 players for a round of Longs at Mary Beth Doyle. We had perfect early fall disc golf weather with clear skies & warm temps. There was a tie for first & second cash between Common/Krumm & Thelen/Howard, both teams shooting -12 & splitting the cash evenly. Third & last cash was flipped for between 4 tying teams! Brayton/Wittman, Sprow/Armstrong, Tschirhart/DesJardins & Blansett/Taint, all shooting -11. Brayton/Wittman & Sprow/Armstrong walked away with the cash.

Starting his season off correct, Phil Common hit an ace for $79 on hole 14! Adding 30 bonus points to his league standing & giving him an early lead on the pack.
