For the Summer league party tonight:

We will be playing the original 18, Ace Race format tonight...Cost will be $2.00 The course has been layed out so feel free to check it out today. You can use any disc(s) you want, and you have two shots at each basket (must use 2 different discs) 1 point for metal, 3 points for ace. There will be multiple payouts for this event.

Also, The Whitehall Disc Golf Club will be cooking up some grilled dogs tonight, they will be ready around 5:30 or sooner. We have a couple of fruit trays, a big ass tray of cookies, and some other snacky stuff...You are more than welcome to bring something if you like. I will have some H2o and a limited supply of other beverage. Also, if anyone can get to the course around 4ish to help me set up and cook some dogs, that would be real cool.

{COREY} I will have "awards" for accomplishments from the summer league. Since the league is a handicap league, and the leaderboard on DGS is based on raw score, we are not really doing much with it this year. We will try to iron out some issues (mostly with having the ability to post hcp scores) and post the scores as handicapped scores next year, which will make things much different as far as point leaders. Frosty Brau was based on raw score so that is why we used it for that, and will again.

The Whitehall Disc Golf Club will have discs available for purchase at the course tonight. Club members receive a $2 discount on all discs and merch.

Ship, Captain, and Crew will be in full effect so bring some $1's.

Also, I am sorry for missing your Ace on Deep 5 Mitch Mitchell, nice work.

On behalf of Whitehall Disc Golf, I would like to personally thank everyone who participated in the Whitehall Disc Golf Summer league. We had a great season and good weather for most of the year; I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Special thanks to Michal Gray and (And Ike Rainey in Mikes absence) for covering the 50/50 CTP and LP contests. In addition, thanks to all WDG Club members (and non-members) who helped in various ways throughout the year, especially Amy Bedau who took over secretary duties this year and did an excellent job keeping track of all the scores and handicaps as well as posting and updating the spreadsheets. .

81 players this year, with an average of 52 players per night over a 15 week season.

If you wanna go even further and go 27 holes or more, I cant tell you how many I had... all I can tell you is that all the beer was gone by the end of the night. Toast!

I will have to look through the scores to figure out the best for the other layouts, can't be much more than 3 or 4 down.

So with that, if its not on record then its not the record, afterall, anyone can come in and say they shot 12 down or whatever...this makes it more official, and it gives you something to shoot for....

Id have to believe that someone has shot a better score than that since the course has been open.. Not trying to take anything away from k-dog...Just curious is all..

Reminder for Havest Moon Classic 8 (September 24, 2011) and WDG Ace Race (October 22, 2011). You can shoot me an email on www.discgolfscene.com and I will get you signed up. Everyone is welcome (and encouraged ) to participate in these and any Whitehall Disc Golf sponsored events.

Harvest Moon can be paid day of, but I will need your Ace Race $$ by August 19. Let me know if you want to play and are having trouble getting the money up front and I'll work something out with you.

Also, if you miss a week and had a payout coming from a past league night, remind me about it. I am getting old and can't keep track of all this stuff.
