Hey everyone just wanted to give an update on things.
Travis did a good job from my perspective for a first time league director and I am thankful for his willingness to help out with this league. Please be kind to him as he is still learning the process even though he has been a league attendee since last year.
I have posted scores. For pros I put in payouts and points because I don't expect that division to change. For amateurs I hve moved some of you around. I used all of my league info that I have for you, I researched the PDGA to get your rating, and based your placement on the way scores played out this week. It's very hard to determine someones skill level based on 1 round so I gathered as much info as I could. Keep in mind you may play Recreational in PDGA events but that doesn't necessarily translate to a league atmosphere where I base divisions on average score at that course. Open should be shooting -5 or better, Advanced between Even and -5, Intermediate between Even and +5, and Recreational should be shooting +5 or worse. This allows for fair divisions and gives everyone a chance to win on their best days.
So with this said, if you have an issue with where I placed you, please reach out to me . . . not Travis . . . and we can talk through this, but know that it is my job to be fair to everyone and it is ultimately my decision, I just don't want you thinking I won't listen to an argument about why you may feel you belong in a different divisions.
I will retroactively put in points and payouts for week 1 and 2 after I see week 2 scores and determining everyone is in an appropriate division.
Thanks to the 2 people I have already discussed this with, and understanding my side of things.
Ace Pool is at $49 and Birdie Club is at $399 for next week!
