Congrats to Matt who takes the win at Hawthorne. Newcomer Tim shoots the hot round at -3, and Gabe grabs the last podium spot. If you’re reading the scores on DG Scene with raised eyebrows, for whatever reason, there isn’t a long layout on DG Scene for Hawthorne, so the other layout besides Short tees on DG Scene is way out of whack from our UDisc layout.

1. Congrats to Josh as he wins the league yet again!!
2. A very sincere thank you to any and all newcomers who played a round with us this year! We hope you come back and I hope to throw a round with you in person sometime.
3. Check out next year’s league at https://www.discgolfscene.com/league/11131/tri-city-slingers-2023-summer-singles. I’ll be posting doubles meet-up events there for the current winter off-season. If we get a good turnout for any of these rounds, we can throw some $$$ down and set up some CTP prizes.

It was a small turnout for Freedom Park but it wasn’t lacking for drama. Only one stroke separated first from last place. Congrats to Chase for grabbing the win. All the other competitors tied for 2nd. Speaking of congratulations, let’s hear it for Josh, who will take home the league championship again.

Our final round of the season takes us back to Hawthorne. This time, we will be playing from the long tees, which only come into play on holes 1, 3, 8, and 10. For hole 13, we will be playing to the straight basket located under the pines on the path to hole 14. Good luck and have fun!

There were a lot of great rounds at Oakwood with little separation between 2nd place and 6th. However, Taz takes the win yet again. He’s on a roll, folks. Damon and Chase both shoot great rounds to tie for 2nd and finish the podium.

Next week has been moved to Freedom Park in Canton. Grizzly Oaks at OU is now under construction until December. The course is getting a much needed facelift and I’m excited to play the end product once it is finished. Back to Freedom Park, it is likely the easiest course the league will play to date, so I anticipate many low scores. Will we have our first league ace this season? I’m not available this week, so I’ll be watching from afar. Good luck, fellas!!

This week takes us to Rolling Hills, which in my opinion, is one of the finest courses in our area. Be sure to play the 18-hole putting course to warm-up for your round!

This week takes us to the woods of Camp Agawam. Water comes into play on four holes. I don't recall drop zones being identified on any of them, so take your 3 meters from where your shot goes OB. Tough course this week. Good luck!!

Palmer Park is unavailable this week due to the PGA tournament in town. This week’s round has been moved to Independence Green. I don’t recommend parking at the apartments or the business near hole 2 since they have placed signs warning that they will tow unauthorized vehicles. East of the course is an empty lot with an office for lease on one side and a dental office on the other.

This is what DGCourseReview estimates a scratch player (PDGA Player Rating of 1000) is estimated to typically score on a course (as it is currently set up in DGCR). For those unfamiliar with round ratings, another way of putting it is it's our guess as to what a pro might score on that course. In the rare situation that an SSE is unavailable in DGCR, one will be calculated by averaging the all-time top 10 scores for course on the UDisc Leaderboard.
