I lost a yellow Gstar Destroyer on hole 1, haha I held on to it way to long and launched into the bushes next to the tee. I look for a good 45 minutes then gave up. Also I found an orange zombie on hole 11 if anyone is looking for it, it look like the name on the back could be bill.

Lost a red Blizzard Boss (has my name/#) the other day on hole 10. It's in the river. If anyone sees it whenever the water level drops, it's my favorite disc. Please call. Thanks!!!

Big Thank You to all that came out yesterday. The course is looking great. I hope you notice those shiny new pads. That is your EOP money hard at work. We need to wait until after the next event before we can afford the road-base and forms for the construction of the pads. Next EOP event, the "U," will be on April 20th!! The two weeks following that are the Creekside Open's Ams then Pro. We will have our next workday on May 11th. If you can't make it but want to donate, then ... more

I want to add to this post as I am a NUDGA too. I love this group of people. I have not met a finer club of people in a very long time. I came from California and my first course was Creekside where my kids and I threw every week for years. Everything was a lot like what Pat Linden said in his comment about Feldberg's idea. Like ball golf with Longer and Short holes with varying par's. Par 3, 4, and 5's It was always such a great time. I left golfing for a while and when we came ... more

I left golfing for a while and when we came back, my kids and I, everything was changed. All par 3's and very very crowded at Creekside. I think the most important thing I have taken from everyone's post is that there should be communication and discussion on improving the course and where funds should be placed. There is always going to be a greater struggle where there is no communication. And I also hope someday there will be other courses in this Northern area we all can go play. I love disc golf!

I have been playing at Riverpark since early of 2004 when there was only 7 holes and I think the club has come a long way, changes are good and in my opinion no NUDGA is going to do the club wrong. Thanks to all those who have had a hand in turning Riverpark to what it is today. Shane is one of the first people that I met at the course and he means well. All NUDGA's mean well and I'm proud to have been a part of a great club so I am sure that whatever the club decides to do will be good and I suck anyways so doesn't matter where the pins and tee pads are. NUDGA 4 LIFE!

As far as changing the course, in my opinion only subtle changes should be made.The fact is it's a thin thread that allows us to even have a course out there, the city could say "remove it" and we would have to. They don't care about disc golf or NUDGA. It's so easy to be on the outside looking in and say why don't you do this and that but it� ... more

Riverside golf course has not changed one bit in the 35 years I have been playing there yet the parking lot is always full. Is change really that necessary? if you think Glenn Eagle is easy then go play Valley View. (sorry for the analogy) Bottom line is in my opinion the course is fine the way it is, if you need to be challenged more then let's focus on building another course somewhere else. In the mean time let's thank our lucky stars for what we got!!

All the distances for all teepads are listed on hole signs, It seems to me you just leave them where they are and if different pads are installed call them black or gold. The club can buy more mats. We need to make the blue tees better with more women and kids playing. That was one of our goals we had at a Nudga meeting so we need to follow through. As far as all the old guys deciding where all the alternate pin placements are installed, there has been many people in on choosing locations and helping install sleeves that usually happen on workdays and us old guys are always there. I know we had a fundraiser series this year to help pay for teepads so lets get it done before winter if possible. I for one think the club as come a long way and have made many improvements for players of all levels of play. we have over 375 members who all love this club and we as a club have raised thousands and thousands of dollars for charities. We police our own course for the most part, if someone gets out of hand there is always Nudgas to put an end to it. We try to help out other clubs with tournament sponsorship and we have a great group who frequent these tournaments and represent Nudga. Thats what i think is the most important thing to remember. I know there is a few courses in the works and we can all pray to the disc golf gods that comes about. if not it wont be from lack of effort. I am very proud to be a part of starting this club and installing this course and have personally met every member and thank every one of them for making this club so great. So if anyone has issues with the way things are run, i will be happy to be held responsible and am always open for discussion and ridicule. NUDGA RESPECT

I'm aware it's more work. But it's well worth it. And I'm also assuming the land owners, be it public or private, would give more than a days notice when they planned to develop, or whatever. But if you can convey that it's not really "permanent" I think you could get tees approved, you got the sleeves in.

Bummer that land is private! I always thought it was city/county or something... But the whole "permanenr" thing has always bothered me. Rod, you have a skid steer, yes? If you know what you're doing in it you can rip a concrete tee out in 15 seconds, and with a chain even quicker to get a sleeve out. After, some fill and a little back dragging. And the end result is very similar if not exactly what you get after picking up one of those mats. A rectangular piece of flat barren earth... But that's just this Nudga's opinion...

noticed red 2 was moved back to original spot yesterday while playing, it wasn't one of the ornery old men, so don't know who put it back. Could honestly care less where reds are. Didn't mean to step on toes, just have concern of people making changes at random. If everyone changed something that they didnt like, it would be mayhem. Course would be new every day with no structure. I agree more communication is good. If a majority of players like new red 2, put it there, or just m ... more

Was actually "yellow pad players" that chose location for ultra long 16 and i believe long 18 as well but not sure on that one. We're not complete wussies lol. And I like those locations, (from the yellows that is) :) got nothin but appreciation for all the nudgas who have put in time,$, sweat and ideas. And by my post on another site concerning the OGs making decisions, I didn't just mean old timers. I mean the core group that were there in the beginning of RP, when we had 9 holes and could barely afford the garbage bags for the course. Many people had hand in expansion. Shane and I believe Brodey were some of the 1st to venture into the back, where letter holes are now. They're not the same but I like to think some are variations of the "tone pole" holes Shane put in. Those were cool, and current ones are too. Peace Nudga and happy chucking

Well I have been pre approved to use land up on Avon for next summer as long as we keep the land clean from trash, it will be a private summer course were we can camp and have some disc golf fun, I plan on buying a few baskets, and if some people plan on playing there a lot, I could use a few minds to help lay it out.. This is going on my dime, I hope to make it sick..... And yes Shane McBane variety is great, I think a few par fives are in store... Now summer come back so we can do this.....
