We are looking for people to help move some of the debris we created while cutting the fairways on the new holes 11, 12, and 24. On Saturday we will be there around noon. I will be at Sunnybrook running Bobis so look for Mat Stivers. On Sunday I will be there around noon. Bring gloves and a good back!

There is a big push to move many baskets around in the city to make full courses with the same baskets. For instance, Firefighters is a mix of Chainstars and Mach's. Bends has 7 Innova, 7 Chainstars, and 10 Mach's. Raintree has 2 newer Mach's and 7 old single chain Mach's. I am in the midst of making a full blown inventory of what we have and what we will be moving around. I think River Bends will be complete with Innova baskets on the front 9 and all Mach's for the 18 h ... more

Spent about 4 hours at River Bends today cleaning up fallen trees on hole 2 and working on the new proposed hole 12.
A couple of things:
First, as the new layout gets finalized, if there are any suggestions, now would be a great time to say them.
Here's a glimpse of the proposal: http://www.discgolfscene.com/courses/River_Bends/Hole_1/50425
Secondly, when you all see trees that have fallen and you are out playing in your groups, feel free to take the initiative to move the remains out of the road. You don't have to wait for me to do it.
My back is a little old ;-) Just sayin'...
Haha! Will do John, don't care what you do with hole12 as you seem to always make great decisions for this lovely sport we all enjoy and many thanks to you and anyone else who has ever helped!

We cleared the new path for Hole 15's new long tee pad yesterday. Thinking about going out there soon to resume finishing up that area and beginning to clear the path for the new holes 11 and 12. If anyone wants to head out there call my cell: 248 515-0350...

I am bummed out hole 9 was pulled. IMHO it was River Bends signature hole. Nice to see the short tee pads being built at Addy, even though I'll never use them. If MCCG ever sets up a paypal account for donations I'd pimp you a few bucks. I'm one of those folks that would rather give money than time.

Hole 14 is the short hole. We may move the basket just a few feet from its current location however, it will eventually become hole 13's basket during the transformation making hole 13 about a hundred foot longer. Hole 14 as we know it today will eventually be removed. Hole 15, the one with the tee pad in the river, will still keep the basket where it is but we have a new spot for a new tee pad once we cut three trees down. You will still need to negotiate the river but the tee pad will be ... more

what about hole 14 or 15? the one that eroded away into the river?
John Minicuci October 28, 2012 at 7:17am
Hole 19 will not be removed although I am proposing a change there too!
Mike Walker October 27, 2012 at 4:16pm
Will hole 19 be removed in the new layout?im hoping not.

The course is going to be under construction very soon. I think baskets 6, 9, 23, and 24 will be removed. We will try to relocate a couple of tee pads from 6 and 24 to make 2 new tee pads at the base of the hill near 23s basket. These 2 new pads will be throwing towards basket 22. For the winter, the course will flow as follows:
Holes 1 - 5 as is
The new tee pads throwing at 22s basket
Hole 7 and 8
Holes 10 - 21
There will be 20 holes on the course until the redesign is complete.
I will tr ...

If anyone sees this kid with this disc can you grab it or at least call me to get it back from him. Another person there said the kid is there a few times a week and i guess this same kid has done this before so im sure a few of you know who this kid is.
