This is a beautiful course, lots of scenery! Recommend in the warmer months you plan on an earlier tee time between 8am and 10am or later around 6pm. Especially since the sport has grown exponentially, it can get a little more crowded than usual. Although it can get packed and sometimes there is a wait to tee off, I still love practicing at this course. It is really great for your short game.

This is a fun short technical course. Fair amount of trees and a creek that comes into play on almost every hole. Also nice that your discs are easily retrievable most of the time unless we just had a rain storm. Only thing keeping this course from being an A is the fact that it has so much traffic (disc golfers and walkers/bikers) and that there aren't really any long holes.

Great technical course. Lots of trees and the shallow river interferes with many or most of the holes. If you're a beginner like me make sure you're prepared to get in the water! There are quite a few people roaming around the park but not generally in your way. Had a lot of fun!!

This is a course I like to jog and play. Almost all holes are 200 ft or less but there are some decent obstacles. It's pretty busy in the afternoon but the short holes makes for a decent rate of play and people usually let me pass when they see me running. If not, I throw 3-4 shots. It's a great beginner to intermediate course or a nice midrange and putting practice course for advanced players.

Really enjoyed playing this course on my vacation, definitely worth a trip here if you are in the area. More technical than long, requires some creativity on your part to pick the right lines to hit. A small and mostly shallow creek runs through the park and comes into play on many holes. It would be tough to lose a disc here as the creek is clear and shallow. The only cons that kept this review from being an "A" is the amount of people there and the missing hole. High traffic park attracts all ...

Fun little course, and really good use of a small park. Crowded in the afternoon and weekends.
Mostly midrange shots, a few driver and putter shots off the tee too. I play here every time I go to CO to snowboard in the winter. It's usually my 1st rounds of the yr, since I don't play in the winter here in MI.

It's Johnny Roberts. Come on, even if it's not the same feel as some of today's newer distance courses, this is still a classic. It's like a wonderful life at Christmas time, you just do it.

Reviewing the 2014 re-design. The course has been shortened significantly, making it pitch and putt course. With that being said, given the allotted land, this course is a really fun putter course, with a variety of throws. There are brand new signs, pads, baskets, and two basket locations on each hole. Lot's of new trees planted and new features (small hills) have been added as well. When these trees mature, the course will be even better. Lot's of ace runs, and all and all, you will prob ...

Fun enough. If you have an arm, you won't need anything more than a mid-range here. It's a pleasant course, very crowded. Water in play on on maybe six of the holes, but easy enough to grab your disc if the stream isn't raging in the spring. There were a lot of newer players getting addicted to the game when I played here, lots of families.

This course is super well-maintained, and has some challenging tree placements. Forgiving course since it is so short, and the layout involved the park space nicely.

This course is close to my heart. I grew up playing here. Very technical but very easy. Almost too easy. The problem is it's too damn busy and I'm worried I'm gonna give some poor kid an unwanted hair cut.

JRob will always be my home course, and though I miss the old layout, I am certainly glad to see it back in any capacity. It's a putter course, maybe you'll want a mid, but you don't need one. Good for practicing those upshots and long putts, and they did a great job at keeping variety throughout the course even though it's short.
Pros: Varied Holes, Great Practice, Great for Beginners
Cons: Super busy on weekends, especially when the 'Arvada All-Stars' decide to play a round with a group of 15.

If you like short technical throws then this is the course for you. great set up and great flow. can get a little crowded at times but total worth the wait. good use of the river that flows through the course and good use of the parks trees. One of the best in the area!

Assets - All the holes are short, which is excellent for beginners, players looking for an "ace", or those working on their short game. The course is well maintained and has an easy to follow layout.
Liabilities - Typically this course is crowded, especially later in the day. There aren't a lot of longer holes which makes the course too easy for the advanced player.
Recommendation - Play this course, and play it early in the day (before noon). Although, the sprinklers go on about 6:00 and stay on until about 8:00.

Great 3-par course, probably the best in the Denver area. Time of day is the big thing with JR - it's great if you go in the morning. Turns into a U18 dive bar after school's out lol

Great par 3 course! Easy to find your disc anywhere. And one of the few things you can still do outside amidst the ‘rona pandemic.

This is a great quick course, or great for beginners. Nothing too long or technical. The Ralston Creek throughout adds some hazard. It’s the busiest course in Colorado by far, weekends should be avoided.
