Im from Astoria and yes, having a local course is amazing! Though you might not have the most technical shots on every hole, you might have the most beautiful in Oregon. With 23 holes and some baskets moving throughout the year, you cant really complain! If you're new to the course, you'll leave wanting to get some birdie chances back, and if a local, you'll always have that wind to keep you on your toes haha. I love this course and highly recommend you making a trip out. You wont regret it.

I’m biased. It’s my home course and im stoked to have it. Nearly every hole has its chance for a birdie for your average player. Tee pads suck but it was the best option considering concrete pads are not going to be an option on the property. Pro and am pads on most holes and multiple baskets on a handful of holes during duck season offers variety for all levels of play. For the most part it is a wide open course favoring the crushers but the few holes that have trees or gaps to hit keep players honest. Signature hole 14 is dreamy with a tail but headwind days are nightmare fuel. Hole 5 and 19 long will have cussing for sure and my favorite(hole 8 long) makes for the prettiest shots in the game if you’re running the chains. Come get ya some!

The views, the wildlife, and use of property rivals any course in the country. Big water and ships often! Now to the golf course. Lots of wind is a regular thing out here, so the course is pretty open for the most part. There are trees to contend with but mainly open holes. Stable up your discs as wind will be a factor. Maybe some understable plastic to ride a tail wind as well.
Rubber tee pads are my biggest concern and really only reason I didn’t give it a A rating. Some pads are wavy as the gravel underneath wasn’t leveled before installing. You can get good footing on every pad, you just have to work for it a bit.
Im pretty lucky to call this place my home course. $5 per day to play OR…..
….Oregon state parks pass gets you in(highly recommended)$30p/year. Well worth it.

IMO is the wind. This can devastate a score real quick. Lol!!! With that being said, i'm happy to see another course on the Oregon course. I will be back for sure. Thanks to all who where involved in the planning and installation of this gem of a course.
