Solid course, I like the long tees better than shorts. Theres a good mix of woods and open holes. The concrete tee pads are also nice

Practice basket between the two loops.
Nice park with swimming pool between both loops.
Great use of elevation.
Great use of limited land.
Shelters and restrooms available.

Unearthed a lot of broken glass and trash during the build. The park was and still is very littered off the beaten bath which is where the course is.
The course is on the short side, this could be a con or pro, depends on your preference.
Parking is somewhat limited especially during pool hours.
* Being a brand new course it is rough around the edges, with play this will correct itself.
Other Thoughts: I am the course designer and architect but I will try to be as unbiased as possible. I'll actually probably be harder on myself than others. The course opened July 3rd and is playable but I am still awaiting signage. Basket spoke points to next hole and I have a course map uploaded. I designed this course to fit most any players skill. It has two distinct loops, the second of which I've dubbed the "family loop". It is shorter than the first 9 and is a much easier walk through the manicured part of the park. But don't let the name fool you completely as it is well above average in technicality. The first 9 is also very technical with some cool holes. There are two tees per hole which gives even more options. Tees are either natural if they were on a level surface or framed in crush run if I had to level. Concrete will be coming in the fall after I make sure all the kinks are out. Right now I give the course a B but with signs and concrete I feel the course will be a strong A. It won't be for players wanting to air out huge bombs but if you are looking for a technical course this will be right up your alley. As for the individual holes.
Hole 1: 315/366 Hole one starts out across one of the only open lots in the park giving you really the only chance to air a shot out. Most of the throw is open with the basket setting down a wooded slope 35 ft. Love opening holes like this.
Hole 2: 240/300 Probably the scariest tee shot on the course. The opening throw plays throw a very narrow tunnel and over a brushy valley. It turns sharp right at the end. If you hit the 190 ft long gap and have a left to right finish you will be putting.
Hole 3: 162/237 Extremely up hill requiring 300 ft power. A lone tree in the middle half way up the fairway and a steep drop off on the left. One of my favorite holes on the course.
Hole 4: 260/314 Another great hole. From longs you have a straight route but through trees, you also have a pretty wide forehand route to the left but with a low canopy this is very risky. Take your pick of shots and hope you get close.
Hole 5: 245/302 The "arch" hole. The tee shot requires a low boring throw as there is a low canopied tunnel and the basket sits slightly above the tee area. There are several mature trees in the fairway giving a few small gaps to hit. To the left of the basket is an old stone archway, not really sure of its significance but it looks really cool. Two days after the course opened a traveling player already posted the arch on Reddit.
Hole 6: 195/219 In all my designs I look for a cool downhill ace run hole. This is it. You have to weave between several mature trees but not go too far as an OB road is 25 ft behind the basket. I've already heard from some saying this is their favorite hole on the course.
Hole 7: 213/295 Now we get into the actual woods. I've never seen a hole like this, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. The tee shot crosses a flat bare shale lot for 150 ft. You then enter the woods by first clearing a 6ft high bank and on the other side the woods slope sharply down and left. The basket sits guarded by trees and is completely surrounded by downed trees. An OB walking path lays down and to the left but really should not come into play. Very unique hole.
Hole 8: 314/371 The only par 4 on the course from the longs. The fairway is completely wooded with small gaps down each side. It bends slightly left the entire length while trees are scattered everywhere. The tee shot itself has to first hit a 15 ft wide tunnel. If you can keep your disc clean you can get a rare birdie. Or you can also hit every tree on the hole. I'm very proud of this hole, not bad for clearing almost 400 ft worth of 12 ft high thorns with hand tools.
Hole 9: 225/279 May be my least favorite hole on the course, at least from longs. While there are several gaps there really isn't one suited for me, I can hit the gaps but can't give myself birdie looks. It can be done though I've seen it with my own eyes lol. The tee shots are thrown over another very brushy valley for the first 150 ft or so, it looks much farther though. The green is sloped pretty hard left to right but I do have walls of downed trees catching what is a good shot turned roller. I love the green, hate the tee shot.
This loop starts the "family" loop. I advise families with children play this loop twice using both shorts and longs to give 18 holes. I think its very important to get families and especially children playing our sport and I'm very proud that I could give them this loop while also making it technical enough for advanced skill level players.
Hole 10: 187/217 A short blind tee shot that goes slightly downhill and a soft right to left. Line of pines on the right guard the playground that is several hundred feet away. Pool on the left that maybe 1 out of 500 throws may find. The green gives a surprising amount of roll aways so a good tee shot may end up out of the circle.
Hole 11: 245/300 Fish hook hole. The tee shot throws over a manicured valley with three sets of mando trees on the right guarding handicap parking and a restroom. Miss any mando and you proceed to the dropzone which is a 60ft deathputt with a steep drop off behind the basket. A well placed tee shot gives you a short approach to the basket.
Hole 12: 210/225 The two tees give two very different looks at the hole. The longs plays through a tight tunnel in which your shot needs a slight left to right turn. A large bush on the left catches discs that don't turn. The green and fairway are both sloped left to right down towards the park road which is OB. The shorts play from the other side of the road throwing up and needing a right to left high hyzer. There will be some cursing on this hole thanks to roll aways.
Hole 13: 180/213 The hole has a double mando 80 ft off the long tee and maybe 20 ft wide. This is to protect both holes 12 and 14 and I shortened the hole also to protect those holes. The basket is under a low canopy group of trees. If you hit the mando you are not making worse than par.
Hole 14: 197/227 Perfectly flat open throw that plays longer than the distance for whatever reason. The basket is just on the other side of a medicinal garden which plays as a hazard.
Hole 15: 139/146 My family loop downhill hole. This hole is fun as hell. It is steeply downhill and around a group of pines. The basket is in the middle of 5 pines within 6 ft of it. The slope continues down to an OB park road behind the basket. Another cursing hole. Love this hole!
Hole 16: 197/300 My least favorite hole on the course. I struggled figuring out what was best for this hole and I think I came up with something. The tee shot from long is steeply uphill and then has to finish around a cropping of trees to a basket on a steep mowed slope.... yep more cursing. Shorts takes out the initial steep hill. This is the one place where walkers may come closer to play than I'd like but i will have it signed so everyone knows. I will get some hate on this hole.
Hole 17: 208/252 Another tunnel shot that plays slightly uphill off the tee landing in an open field. OB parking lot behind the basket. Nothing really challenging other than the tunnel. I have plans of building an elevated pyramid green in the next few months.
Hole 18: 138/173 One of the best short holes I've ever seen. The tee shots are across open grass but you are throwing at a basket that is on the edge of a severely steep slope directly behind the basket. If you miss a put you could literally roll 150 away with not much of a shot back up to the basket. It's a great finishing hole because of the risk reward of going for that putt or ace run.
Edit: 8/10/17 The course now has permanent signage, raised my rating from B to B+. Will go to A- after concrete pads.
Edit 9/1/2018. The course now has concrete tee pads throughout, 2 sets of tees per hole. Also has a kiosk and course map area. Still likely a B+ course just because of the shorter lengths of the back 9.

Course is going to be nice once it is fully broken in. The front nine is a challenge while the back nine being is more beginner friendly. Greg Bishop hit another homerun with this one.

This is a fun course with a few punishing holes. While the is no water to lose you discs in, a bad throw and you could end up in the thickness, a hard rollaway, or just over the hill costing an extra shot. The challenge is reasonable with the whites and significant on the blues. If your short on time the second half is the easy way out. The terrain is much easer and flow as fairly quick. The front 9 is more of a work out but gets you out into parts of the park I had never seen. As soon as I saw 2 I thought "O my!" 6 is one of my favorites (whites) as a sweet and easy down hill shot. 7 makes up for it with the trek up the hill to the tee for a blind shot into the woods! One major need is signedge. The baskets currently have tape on a spoke pointing to the next tee but some detour routes are required to get to it. Also some of the tee boards are placed some what close to other hole which can be mistaken for the wrong tee. However, the planed tee boxes should clear that up. A welcome sign with a map/layout would be great (a feature missing from all the courses in this area) to establish where hole 1 is.while it seems obvious, many people seem a little lost. All in all a fun course with a wide range of holes! A must play for all in the area!

Great course to introduce someone to the game on the front 9 from the short tees and a great place for the experienced player to shoot big numbers on the back 9 from the long tees. The course has great open spaces (several holes on front 9) and tight corridor shots(#11 from longs is a great example). The use of space is perfect.
