As of writing this review, I have played 850 courses. Echo is definitely in my top 10 courses, although I'm admittedly biased as I live 5 minutes away and get to play the course >100 times/year. Having said that, playing here so often has undoubtedly made me a much better disc golfer. In order to score well, it requires distance off the tee on more than half the holes. But unlike many courses, the second shot matters, often moreso than the first. So, upshot accuracy becomes a priority. Then, several greens have rollaway potential so it forces you to think about placement to be putting in the 'safe' direction. With the new changes on 12 and 17, it is hard to find many complaints other than the similarity of the par 4 dogleg combos on holes 8-11. If you haven't played this course, put it on your 'Course Wishlist' immediately.

Absolutely a MUST PLAY course. Not sure if they are seasonal or not, but lack of garbage cans was noticed as we had to lug around anything that needed to be deposed of. Good signage had you getting to every tee of the next hole with no issues. Look forward to getting back here on our yearly Idlewild trip.

What a nice course this was! Several friends raved about Echo Valley so a buddy and I made the trek and spent part of my birthday tossing around plastic. It definitely feels like a professional course as most of the holes are 400-450 ft. long (longer if you play the Golds) and the signage/teepads are pretty solid overall. It's a technical course for sure (you will spend most of your time in wooded areas) although it doesn't feel as brutal as Idlewild in that regard. Hole #5 was probably our favorite hole as it's a steep downhill toss. Definitely a solid course to check out if you are in the area!

A beautiful destination course in the Hoffman Reserves on the outskirts of Patricia Allyn Park. Excellent welcome course map. Superb design that plays from reds, blues and golds. The blues and golds have nice cement pads and DISCatcher pro baskets. The moderately wooded layout is nicely landscaped, has wood chip trails and good signage for easy navigation. Shot shaping, distance and finding good landing zones are necessary for success. The big downhill tunnel shot on hole 5 is the signature hole in my opinion. The rough is difficult on some holes. The course is well maintained and a pleasure to play. Arguably the best course in Ohio.

Awesome course. Great variety of shots. Open and wooded shots with elevation changes worked in for good measure. OB areas on a couple of holes to take in to account. True par 4 holes from both gold and blue layout that may for most require some for strategic shot placement to nab that birdie or clench the par. The course covers a decent area with pretty good flow from one hole to the next tee pad with not much if any at all back tracking or crossing other fairways. There are markings in the bottom of the basket indicating the direction to the next tee(gold/blue paint/tape). Good hole signs at every tee with distances(did not verify accuracy) and hole layout. Plan for 1.5-2 hours minimum for a play through. Not the number recommend in the area for beginners or disc golfers who may be easily demoralized by the abuse this course can dish out lol. Those who like a challenge and a good hike give this course a try. Definitely a must play for seasoned disc golfers.

Very interesting course. EXTREMELY difficult on about 3/4's of the holes. Then even the easier holes can be challenging. The length is one main factor. Never have I played a course that has so many long holes from the front tees. Which is also one reason it's so fun and challenging. Have to think on the tee, not just grip it and rip it. Placing a specific shot or distance is required a lot of the time and makes it way more fun then some shorter mindless courses.

Then the trees, haha. They make it very challenging to score well if you make even the slightest mistake. Can't recover very well usually. And there are FAR too many trees in the way on about 1/4 of the holes. Some of the holes have very difficult, but fair tree placement. If you have a good tee shot and a good approach, you can score or get a par. Then other holes have very difficult and totally unfair tree placement that make it almost impossible to play the hole for a birdie or even par. And that goes for low scoring AM's or pros. VERY VERY difficult and unfair on certain holes.

But, overall it's pretty cool and unique for around Central/SW Ohio. Haven't played anything like this. And most of the holes are taken care of well. The grass was mowed, and looks nice. Great use of the land. The length and difficulty alone make it for a challenging fun time, but feel like they could do some more tree removal and make this into a TOP NOTCH course that is not only challenging and fun, but FAIR. The ridiculous amount of trees on certain holes do ruin some of the holes, and why I can't give this course an A. But overall a great course and one of the better ones I've played in Ohio. Recommended
