This course is only going to improve as it gets cleaned up and tees better identified. I knew going in it was still a new course and would be a bit rough around the edges. That said, I really enjoyed the course. Challenging but doable, demanding a variety of shots.
REVIEW:
I played the course Saturday Oct 3, 2015. They are still getting it ready for a tournament in just 3 weeks. Overall I think this is going to be a good course--I enjoyed it even in its rough state and having to search for some tees. The hole layouts are varied, with different shots, elevations, and some in woods/some in fields. Holes 7 and 9 definitely have water in play--so have some floaters. 7 has lake along right entire distance and can straight line over part of lake for shorter throw and 9 brings the stream below dam into play and it is deep enough to lose a disc if you stray right--if long enough you can throw over the creek.
Hole 1 is directly across the entrance road from parking on the right at the stop sign. This is where if you drove straight you would come to office, left would take you on road across dam and right to parking. Look for a path at the corner of woods nearest lake.
It was a bit difficult to find some of the tees after several holes and some tees were not marked yet and the ones that are marked are with little flags like used for pipelines, etc a construction sites (mostly ones in open area where grass is probably to be cut). I had to backtrack on a couple holes several times to find a tee (starting hole 12 was one that was hard to find). And I could not find Hole 16 or 18 at all--and I looked for 10 or more minutes.
No doubt this will be an even better course in the next month or so as courses tend to improve dramatically for a tournament. There is still quite a bit of work to clear our the debris lying in many fairways. And the initial direction to the next tee needs to be marked some way. Right now there are ribbons tied intermittently to trees off through the woods that are difficult to follow to say the least.
I really liked this course. Pretty views, quiet (I was the only person playing on a drizzly Saturday morning that turned out to be very good weather for discing) with an interesting and varied layout. I cannot wait to play this after the tournament, at which time I expect my rating will improve. I would probably even play it again just like it is if someone could tell me where 16 and 18 are located.
