This is a great course with up north feel, lots of rocks and some elevation worked along a river. The layout playing long tees is a little confusing and there is a long walk to holes 11 and 12 and back. Also there is a tree directly in front of the long tee pad on 13 that could have easily been avoided by moving the tee pad 6 feet left.... Otherwise it is wonderful

This course uses its moderate elevation changes well. Great scenery, layout & teepads. Water & large rock formations create a unique feel. Distances & alternate basket placements on many of the signs are misleading. Most of the holes did NOT have alternate baskets as shown on the signs. If not for that, I would rate it higher. Next time I'm in Marquette, I will play it again.

I have played at a number of courses, including some of the best. I grew up around the black locust course (#3 in the us) and I came up to college here. I would like to say that this course blew me away. I love it! The scenery is amazing and nothing can beat it! The only thing I would change about this course would be concrete pads or at least a bit longer for the big wind up players. The course plays very well through the elevation

First of all the course is instantly one of my favorites. Red Course is excellent for beginners of all ages who are able to navigate a sometimes intermediate hiking trail. The distances are close but provide perfect views and wonderful glades whom most older than your great grandparents. The Blue Course tacks on distance and more challenging lines featuring gaps to navigate before any real ground is covered. Some of these tee pads both long and short are of the most memorable most will ever see. These Powder Mill locals have it made. The Blue features have several par 4's however upon asking a young man who was a league participant I found out my suspicions were true about the validity of those 4's and it was confirmed that league plays them as 3's. Last note, the pin placement does rotate as dictated with each tee maps visual aid.

This is a great course but has to be one of the most confusing layouts I have ever seen. I am a blue tee player and was so aggravated by the layout that after searching for trails and tee pads switched to red tees after several holes. Disc golf courses should be easily navigated for novice and newcomers. You should not need a tour guide to find the holes or the pads. Several times I found myself blindly searching for the next hole and could use more signage. They do appear to be attempting to fix some the tee boxes which are dug out and rutted very bad. There is also a lot of trash and broken glass around the course so be careful! This course does have some awesome holes, and in my opinion favors forehand player. I love tight wooded courses and this is definitely one of those! If the guys who manage the course could work out some of the kinks and overly complicated holes I would give this course a A. Disc golf is supposed to fun for everyone and I could see newcomers leaving this course and never playing again.

Nice course; not too difficult, not too easy. Loved hole #7 - had to scrounge around for my disc longer than I had liked, but very cool placement in the rock out-croppings! Shank your shot to the right on that one and you'll be looking downhill quite a ways. First few holes have the river off to the side for a very beautiful view. Signage for hole 11 could be a lot better - took me a few minutes longer than I would have liked to figure out where the heck it was...frustrating but no big deal.

Short hike from campus and full of beautiful scenery. It's technical which I like. 7 can be treacherous if you throw a little far, there's a bit of a cliff off the back of the dogleg, or you can try to tomahawk over the top and cut the corner. I love this course though and it's definitely one of my favorite things about Marquette. (Which, if you've been to Marquette, you know is saying something.) Lovers of nature and the sport will love this course.

Every shot from the tee to the basket retains technical elements and a round never gets boring or repetitive, a thinking man's disc golf course! Some walking paths get slippery when wet so be careful between the holes. A few more signature holes, elevation changes and/or long bombs and it'd be an A+ but that's an unavoidable byproduct of the land...

Solid Course! Amazing scenery along the river! A lot of tough shots! Watch your discs on hole 12 and 14, could easily lose a disc if you don't have a good toss. This course is raising the popularity of this sport in Marquette. This will bring more and more people to play, plus the course is a challenge... nothing better than that. Once it gets more broken in, will be one of the best courses in Michigan!

Solid course..great job guys..the amount of work that was done to put this course in had to be epic..they did a great job..the course is easy to navigate and that's a huge plus..lots of people playing the course which is great..the shorts make for a very easy round, the longs however make for a tough par..I love the course..plays along the river and is very close to the college..
