Steady Ed Headrick Memorial · Reviews

C+ Kevin B Kelly Feb 2023 First tournament at IDGC campus in Appling. Shot the best round of my career , +6 . Course is a bit rough with roots , hills, ravines, water holes but a challenging an fun time. I can’t say that about Jim Warner!
A Wilson Wise Feb 2021 Such a great course. Challenging but fair. Requires different shots.
A+ Nick O'Keefe Dec 2020 Just pure fun. It's a pretty easy course with a lot of shots available, but for an easy course to still remain somewhat challenging is a feat I've yet to see elsewhere. The views, the shots, the water - I just loved every minute on this course despite playing through injury.
A Patrick Lee Oct 2020 Loved the course, Red tees cut out most of the water but some of the baskets are right next to the water. LOTS of trees and uphill throws
A Christian Davidson Sep 2019
Very technical course, extremely fun to play, LOTS of trees! Accuracy is critical. Late August has a lot of spiders off the fairways making webs between nearly every tree, so if you throw off course, ... show more ›
A+ Eric Woody Apr 2019 My new favorite course. Fun with some challenges. I like it better than Flip City.
A+ Jacob Baumgardner Dec 2018
Only #3 in Georgia? Wow, y'all must be spoiled! The ED is second only to Flip City, IMO. Admittedly, I haven't played WR orJim Warner, but, come on m,m,m,man. Has great variation to accommodate all st ... show more ›
A Paul Grice Oct 2018 The IDGC courses are rated 3rd in the state of Georgia and #16 in the USA! To my knowledge this is the first time I have played a championship level course and I played it blind! Players told me I would have fun on the Steady Ed course and I must say they were right.
A Alan Amos Nov 2017 Just what you would expect from the IDC.
A+ Kason Moody Mar 2017
This is a beautiful course. One of the best I have played overall. Plays around water for a lot of the course, the rest is played pretty much all in the woods. Plenty of elevation change, and definite ... show more ›

B Dr Coach Green Mar 2022 Fun holes and challenging water holes
A- Nate Gahman Nov 2015 great fun course! pretty difficult especially with the water way up. great time though, being my first time on the grounds.
A+ Matt Nemmers Aug 2015
This is the first course I've rated A+ and if you haven't played the IDGC, you need this in your life. Not because *I* say so, but because fundamentally it's a phenomenal course. It has everything you ... show more ›
A Brian S Mar 2015 My favorite at IDGC. Love the water holes here. Great mix of shots throughout the course that makes you throw your whole bag. Best scenery of the three with the lake right there.
A Thomas E Reynolds Feb 2015 Hole 5 is my favorite shot off the tee....several water holes....top notch
A- Logan Guinn Jan 2015
Though many of the Red and Blue pins were confusing, some missing. The layout is an endurance and over challenge wood and water hazard. One of the more nature trail courses, one of the best so far. ... show more ›

A DETROIT Duchon Apr 2013 Played with my Wife on our Honeymoon , beautiful course ! Great Fun , RIP Steady Ed.
A Ron Baughman Feb 2013 super nice course. kinda hilly but all the courses at the idgc are. lot of shot shaping to do. kinda tight on some holes and open on others, good mix. great scenery with the lake in the background on most holes.
A- Bo DeBruin Feb 2013
Now that I have developed at least a little control, I like this course. It is very challenging because of the LOOOOOONG narrow channels you have to hit on some of the holes. I'm not fond of the uphil ... show more ›
A+ Matt Bonitatibus Jan 2013 Love this course! It has everything I want in a course. Forces me to play my whole bag.
A Brad Brundage Nov 2012 Another great course. All the baskets were in their short position, so not sure how tough it could have played; but a sweet course.
A Robert Radtke Oct 2012 Love that steady ed! in the museum at idgc theres his first prototype pole hole and one of those frisbees with his ashes in it. u can actually see the specs of ash. creepy
A Troy Gozdowski Jan 2012 Very good confidence booster from the short tees.
A+ Ryan Ranes Dec 2011 awesome course alot of long par 4's and alot of accurate 350 footers this is whta disc golf should be very clean and very well manicured one of my favorites.
A Dan Walker Nov 2011
Easiest of the 3 manicured IDGC tracks. Several elevation changes on the front, multiple tees, wooded with well defined fairways, and a few holes where the river is in play make this a must play. Play ... show more ›

A Wilson Wise Feb 2021 Such a hard course. BUT, it is a great course. The entire time it was challenging, but enjoyable.

C Robert Baggott Oct 2021 The only thing keeping me from giving this a high rating is that it only has one tee option. It is a very long course, Par 69 for 18, and the long tee shots are brutal if your not an experienced player able to throw long in the woods with accuracy.
A+ Patrick Treude Jan 2016

A+ Brian S Mar 2015 Awesome course, I feel like I'm playing the Augusta National of disc golf here. Especially since my game in no way even remotely justifies me stepping foot on the tee pads here. Still super fun to play though.

A+ Skyler Stoker Apr 2014 Amazing course very challenging but fair. Hit your lines and you are rewarded miss them and you pay the price!
A Thomas E Reynolds Nov 2013 First time out, played in the Pam B Childs Memorial, great courses the IDGC has, but it is LOOONG.....great fun and very challenging no easy deuce or par for that matter.
A+ Paul Wagner Sep 2013 Loooooong course, beautiful open fairways
A+ Jake LaPutka May 2013 One of the most incredible courses I have ever played. Not a single basket is put in the wrong place, the tee pads are great, the course is beautiful. Go play this course. You won't play well but you will love every second of it. Separates the men from the boys that's for sure.
A+ Tyler Crowley Apr 2013 Great course. great layout. and very well maintained
A Ron Baughman Feb 2013 massive course. challenging but fun. You better be accurate to play this course or youll be playing out of the woods and the creek allday. grip and rip, and better rip it where you need it to go.
A- Matt Bonitatibus Jan 2013 I'm going to pretend my round here didn't really happen. A truly amazing course though. look forward to playing again. Gotta throw with a big arm, so leave the weak sauce at home!
A- Dave Kippen Nov 2012 This course bent me over and [you know what!]
A+ Brad Brundage Nov 2012 Just a GREAT disc golf course. Extremely challenging, but fair. Awesome!
A Scotty Boyd Jun 2012 First time playing and played in a monsoon. Majority of everything is a par 4 to 5. Need one hell of an arm to get to the baskets in 3. The course is extremely long. Plays shy of 10K feet. Finished in 2 hours and 45 mins.
A Ryan Ranes Dec 2011 awesome long holes you got to be super accurate crushing 400 footers awesome course. nice tee pads and great baskets so many trees.
B+ Dan Walker Apr 2021
Insanely long course (avg ~500 ft holes) at the IDGC. If you can't throw it 350+ it is going to be a VERY long day. Wide, manicured fairways have you grippin' and rippin' it only to end up pitching 90 ... show more ›

C Wilson Wise Feb 2021 Definitely the worst of the three courses at IDGC. Overall too much reliance on the gimmick of adjusting play due to elevation changes.
A- Nick O'Keefe Dec 2020 Perfect medium between the easy Steady Ed and the impossible WR Jackson. Attainable, but still challenging.

A- Paul Grice Oct 2018 I have been told this is a intermediate championship course and I would agree to that leaning toward the avanced side. It has IMO extreme elevation
C+ Brian S Jan 2023 By far the most frustrating course at IDGC. Bring a map cuz the layout is whack, lots of elevation change and trees everywhere.
A+ Logan Guinn Jan 2015 A well planned, strategic laid course that allows the front nine holes to be played with fairly easy to find tees and flagged pins. The back nine, will be hills, up and down...endurance, determination and one tough attitude will see you through
A+ Wade Calvert Jul 2014

A- Tyler Crowley Apr 2013 to me its not as good as the other two courses at the idgc but still a great course
A Ron Baughman Feb 2013 great course, not for a beginner disc golfer. long but not too tight. gotta have a arm to play this one.
A Matt Bonitatibus Jan 2013 Fun course. Really makes you think more than any other course I've played. Good challenge.
A Brad Brundage Nov 2012 Another really tough, fair course at the IDGC.
A- Ryan Ranes Dec 2011 super far holes started seeming like alot of the same holes but still very challening alot of elevation changes and trees very clean and this is what disc holg needs to be!
