Holes 1-6, think Cascade Gateway openness. Holes 7-9, think Hyzer Pines treed. Course is fun with descent length. Small tee pads with no numbers but a map from the lodge will help guide you around. Old single chain DisCatchers kinda suck, pretty beat up. But was fun to play a casual 9 with the family.

For a location that is known for world class ball golf, this is an ok course. The ranch lists one or two of the holes as par fours and two as par twos. Any player who's familiar with the game should play it as all par threes. A little confusing on the layout, not too bad though. Hole four is the toughest/signature hole for the course in my opinion. Holes 5 6 7 really help the confidence and the short game. If you're in the area check it out. You need to check in at black butte ranch welcome center. Not sure if there is a cost to play, we were staying at the ranch when I played it. Pay early, it gets very windy in the afternoon.
