Awesome course design with a variety of shot shapes required to score well. A good challenge for a wide range of skill levels. Great use of the space. Not a great part of town and you can feel that while playing the course. Short tee pads badly need to be replaced, but the majority of the long pads are fine.

Excellent course, very rewarding short pads and challenging long pads, giving something for everyone. Great variety of shots as you'll need to be on your game to shoot well.

Only downside is that some of the tees aren't in the greatest of shape. Will certainly improve its course rating once the current plan for working on the tees is complete.

My all-time favorite course, and I've played a lot of them. Tons of variety. Plays fair. Lots of elevation changes. Several holes that are positively beautiful. I hear a lot of people caution that it's in a "rough" area, but I've played there at least 50 times and never had an issue. All interactions I've had on the course have been nothing but friendly.

-This is a gem of a course, tucked away only about 10 minutes from the Atlanta airport. A wooded old city park with tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball and baseball - with 18 holes hidden away right in the middle!
-Great use of elevation
-Great use of the several creeks
-Tees are terrific, baskets are adequate if not latest and greatest
-Go ahead: stand on either tee of hole #2 and admire how they've used the natural curve of the creek to frame the hole.

- Unfortunate amount of trash around the course
- Two basket-to-tee transitions are a bit tricky (6-7, 14-15), but they're pretty intuitive
-No way to know which basket position is being used. It's pretty obvious if you can see the basket - but you'll have to walk a ways forward on a few holes to check it out

There are a lot of comments about the surrounding area. While it's not suburban, it's also not "the hood." It's a working class neighborhood and yes, there are some houses in disrepair. It's smart to park up by the playground and park building. Best advice: see for yourself.

Two sets of tees, well marked tee signs and direction indicators. Three par 4s and one par 5. Hole 18, par 5 probably their signature hole that hugs the creek the entire way.

John Ritger and team did a great job with design and utilizing the land. Good blend of wooded and open holes with a variety of shots and elevations. Black/Long pads offer many opportunities to throw driver, while the Reds/Shorts still offer a challenging mix to tune your approach and putting game. Water OB comes into play on a few holes. Jonny A and the local in town club do a great job maintaining the course and running events as well. Thanks to all involved.

As with most inner city parks, there is an elevated risk of crime (break-ins) so take precaution. Generally the locals are very friendly and you maybe offered free food and drink.

Best course in metro Atlanta unless you consider Tyus in Griffin as metro Atlanta. Design wise it's possibly the best use of land I've seen any where because of the use of the elevation, good sightlines without mowing down all the trees, use of water hazards on at least 7 holes, and a distinct variety of basket placements of 3 on 17 of the 18 holes.

Impossible to get bored with. The short pads will challenge your technical game and the long pads will give your arm a stretch on several and then hit you in the face with technical shots. It'll give you a workout without realizing it because the course is so much fun.

There are places it's tough to realize you're in the city because of the beautiful old growth trees. It's beautiful enough to simply take a nature hike, it's that gorgeous.

Accessibility is tremendous as it's close to 20 and 75/85 and you can take MARTA by going to West End station and then transferring to bus 95 which will drop you off at Metropolitan and Deckner, 2 blocks from the park.

The course is lovingly kept and has seen a great many improvements in the last year due to a dedicated core of the best volunteers in disc golf. There are few must-do anythings in the world but Perkerson is one of them!

Good: plenty of parking and a short distance from the highway. 18 holes with a variety of approaches available for most holes. Local neighborhood is not as dangerous as people think.

Bad: Many of the course's holes were unmarked and a lack of direction between holes is consistent and frustrating. Several of the hole's baskets are missing and the maps are inaccurate. The flow between holes is very unorganized and is easy to loose track of where to go next.

Proud to call this my home course. Tough but fair. Beautiful park course with a ton of elevation change and a great mixture of both open and wooded holes. To be honest, I’ve never played a Park course quite like it. Stunning. I hope you have a good righty forehand. Much like many other courses during the summer, you can easily find yourself losing and hunting a disc for several minutes when you miss the fairway in some thick vegetation with poison ivy/oak lurking. Overall a can’t miss course in and around Atlanta.

Just played a tournament here this past weekend and boy have they made some great improvements. The tee pads are incredible, and the signs are top notch. Lots of variety here, with all different types of shots needed. Also a lot of elevation change. The only downfall to the course is the location, right in the middle of the hood. We had a car stolen and another car broken into while we were there, in the middle of the day, with tons of people there walking around.

This is the supreme course in the Atlanta area. Hands down, seems to blend the best of every course in the area into one 18 hole masterpiece. The best asset this course boasts is pure beauty; IMO this land is perfect for disc golf.

Great holes, challenging yet rewarding, just stunning appearance.

Cons: Not the best of neighborhoods - not in the ground yet (soon thought)

Other Thoughts: It looks so breathtaking and it is such a good risk reward layout. Watch out because this has Atlanta Open written all over it.

An overall great mix of holes that require different shots that other courses don't. Most notably elevation, prepare to throw both up and down hill here.
