I have seen a lot of courses and clubs. This is by far one of the best clubs and courses in the world. Continually improving all of the course, adding holes, increasing standards, working on tees, greens, bridges, stairs, and more. Pickard Park is truly something special all while being an open public park. The parks department and local club put so much heart and soul into this truly remarkable course! Thank you!

Best course in Iowa by far. It flows tremendously well, even with the newer holes that were added for last year’s DMC. The golds are very challenging for the average player, and there are multiple other layouts that can be played as well if you don’t want as challenging or physically demanding of an experience.

Pickard is definitely a destination course to play that showcases the best of what Iowa disc golf can offer! Well manicured and is also fun for beginners! There are a wide variety of shots that can make you use all the tools in your bag. Pack some snacks! Once you’re off on your adventure, you won’t swing back by the parking lot until you’re done.

Oh and if you’re in the area the right time of year, you will see hot air balloons decorating the sky!

A gem here in Iowa. The course is easy to find right off the main road heading into/out of town. PLENTY of parking and camping area (if you're into that). Beautiful course with a great mix of technical shots with max distance off the tees. Risk/Reward really comes into play with the amount of distance you want to go for, but not staying in the fairways could be costly.

Pickard Park is a special place. The majority of the course feels isolated, which is a welcome change from the rest of the park-style courses the Des Moines metro courses offer.

There is beauty everywhere you look from the native grasses, wildflowers, mature trees, and creek that flows through a few holes on the course.

Short and long tee pads offer a challenge to every level of player, and the course is capable of holding large, championship style events. I highly recommend this course to anyone in the Des Moines area, as well as a destination trip for people out of town or out of state.

Pros-great long course set on some rolling hills. Lots of elevation and good use of the trees. 2 tee pads at nearly all holes with 3 on the 958' beast. Well maintained clear signage. LONG journey around beautiful property
Cons-holes 1-3 layout doesn't really fit course, long walk between some holes, some of shorts seem too easy like being placed for sake of another pad.
Great course overall, fun yet challenging.
