[TLDR: Acorn has lots of variety and is good for all skill levels, though terrain can be treacherous.] A course that is convenient to get to, Acorn is a good go to course for a game anytime. The course has long/short tees and long/short baskets, which creates a lot of opportunity for a different game everytime you play. The course has lots of variation in style of hole design, most in the trees, has some water hazards. When the seasons play the biggest role: spring=mud, summer=lots of vegetation to loose a disk in, late summer= super scummy ponds, fall=leaves to loose a disk in. Maintenance on the course is in constant need, lots of dead trees and shrub stubs. Design and variability are it's saving qualities. According to my UDisk App I've played this course over 50+ times and I still go back for more dispite it's shortcomings.

The good:
-pretty versatile course, lots of different looks from tee shots and approaches
-nice tee boxes
-gives you the ability to play course to your skill level

The bad:
-inconsistent hole maintenance, some are overgrown even in the fairways
-a little more distance would be nice
-the water. Some courses water can be a fun hazard, here it smells awful and don't even consider going in to get a disc unless you want leeches

Bottom line:
Solid course that seems like it would get more fun the better you knew the course. Would recommend to a player of moderate skill.

The diversity of holes at Acorn makes it an excellent intermediate disc golf course. The first hole you throw over a swamp from the long tee - so don't lose da disc! From what I've been told the layout has changed from how it was set up in the past. Some pins are under 200 feet while others are over 400. The only negative experience I've had on this course was playing on a weekend and having the course be crowded.

Fun course. Most of the longer holes at least begin open enough to choose which technique you want to use, i.e. I right forehand and backhand, and I'm rarely forced to choose one or the other off the tee. Easily the bussiest course around. Just plan on waiting every hole unless you're going on a weekday morning/early afternoon.
