It's a great and WELL maintained course, the sweep off teepads daily and do a good job keeping the holes trimmed and such. Also an awesome layout, not alot of long ones but some good technical shots the challenges your release and angles well. My favorite course to play regularly! One change that needs to be made is its 5.00 for parking and 4.00 to play now unless you by a pass.

Was my backyard pretty much for 20+ years. 65ish aces (give or take a few). Aced every hole there except 2,4,13 and 18. All in the woods Madeleine is a short technical course that has opened up over the years due to storms. A seasoned golfer should shoot 40-45 on the regular and I've even witnessed a few rounds in the 30's there.

I grew up playing this, Brewer, and Coldbook because they were the only courses within 70 miles of each other. Have not played this in over 15 years because I moved away, but remember enjoying my time with my buddies on Steady Ed's Michigan course. Even though we were young and short on cash, we never minded paying the greens fees.

This is my favorite course. A little bias because it was my home course when I started disc golf. Still a great wooded course in SW Michigan. Older and shorter but still a challenging course. Well maintained when I played. Friendly staff. Pay to Play. Can get season passes. Nice little pro shop. Highly recommended if in the area.

I've played tons of courses over the last 16 years, and this is still one of my very favorites. A nice variety of shots. Every hole is deuceable with good drives. Nice staff, good pro shot, perfect-sized tee pads. They put on the best tournaments of anywhere I've ever played. Buy a season pass, or it's pretty expensive to play there...it is worth the money though. I can't say enough good things about this course. Only thing this course needs is better management of invasive plant species which are taking over all the once natural, beautiful foliage.

This is my home course and of 60+ courses I've played, I still think it's one of the best. Lots of technical shots require skillful throws. If you like wide open, long courses where all you do is chuck a disc and no matter where you land you can get a 3 then this probably isn't the course for you, but if you want to challenge yourself and play a beautiful course, fairly well-cared for with a pleasant staff and nice pro shop, this is a course you won't want to miss. The rates are pretty cheap if you buy the season pass, but if you're just visiting, park in St. Patrick's Park just across the border and hike in less than a half mile to Bertrand for free (except on weekends in the summer) and then you only have to pay the $4 to golf. This course is good enough to warrant the fee, regardless. They also put on one of the best tournaments of any course I've played thrice a year...$20 gets you about a 1 in 2 chance of winning a $15 gift card or a free disc, plus trophies for all divisions, and they feed you in-between rounds.

The course is pretty fun to play, and needs a bit of control as it's entirely in a wooded area. Plenty of precision needed, and interesting enough to make it fun (minus one of the easiest holes I've ever played at hole 1). The course has extremely high pars per hole, so you should be able to walk around feeling pretty good about your score by the end of the round. Clean and well maintained. The only downside are the costs. I've NEVER had to pay $4 to play disc golf before, along with a parking fee of $3 ($5 if you're out of county), if you're without a county park pass. It's still worth playing, regardless of the fees.

This is a nice course. You'll have to pay $4 for your wristband at the pro shop but it's worth it. The well kept tee pads, fairways, baskets, and signs make the course very easy to maneuver. There are a good variety of straight, left, and right hooks with several holes under 300' which make it a good course for beginners while providing a lot of ace opportunities for advanced players. I would give it an A+ if it had regular and pro tee pads.

I love Madeline Bertrain. Cost you a few bucks for parking and throwing, but it's worth the price if you plan on playing a few rounds. Great picnic areas if you want to grill out, or relax (sneak a few beverages) in between rounds. Very short course that will test all throwing styles. Woods are dense so shade is nice, but finding a run away disc is sometimes a challenge. If all you throw is a backhand take a deep breath.

If you plan on playing here more then 7 times in one season then i would get the season pass it will pay for its self if you play 7 times $35. The rangers do walk the course but most the time they drive the gaiter to you can here them coming (smokers).

Mostly shorter holes and mix of defined open fairways and woods holes. A few fun shots are very interesting with shooting elevation hole into the woods and over valley shot with foliage. Very forgiving course pars too: total par for course is 60. All of the 4's and the one 5 hole are all parable holes. I don't know of any other course that has a length of 4240 feet and par of 60. Must par $4 to play disc golf and get a wrist band. Sometimes $5 to park there for the day too. Remember to bring your bug spray and water.
