I am further along in my efforts to build the local disc golf community here in western North Carolina. The local community association has agreed to pay for some baskets and tee pads for any disc golf course I end up building in Macon County. I realized a full 18 hole course might not be possible, but maybe a smaller course might be. The Mountain Learning Center and Retreat has agreed to allow me to build a few holes on their land and to teach some seminars to campers etc. If this leads to an increase in local interest, then the larger course will be more easily achieved. Some club members for The Highlands Disc Golf Society are needed as well...
