Nick Pacific Jan 18, 2018 Sweet thank you
Brandon Redmond well, since the snow has finally shown up...anyone have some updates? I know FF is decent, if not good from the ice bowl and some league play there.

how's indy looking? got a group planned for sunday...should "shovel of shame" be in order?

As a whole, Hudson Mills is in pretty bad shape. Much of the compacted and nasty stuff was removed from the red tees (1-3,6-18) yesterday but they're still very dicey. Started w two healthy shovels, ... show more ›

Bob DeCumen Mar 30, 2014 Thanks for pick'in the ice! Pads are in good shape on both courses now.

Pat Burke Feb 7, 2014 Leagues at noon at Indy
Joe Olson Feb 8, 2014 Wish I could Pat, but can't be out that late today.
Joe Olson Feb 8, 2014 I'm kicking the pads clean at Indy. They're actually not to bad. However tracks are pretty much covered so walking through up to 18 inches of snow at times.
Joe Wander Anybody else getting tired of this snow thing? Looking forward to slush and mud, eventually. Feb 5, 2014
Jeff Bauman Feb 5, 2014 This is getting old. Can't wait to see grass on the fairways again. C'mon spring!!!
Hunter S. Dotson WaterWorks it at a prime. shoveled and salted all pads, even the tee pad of death on the mulch pile. Jan 29, 2014

Nick Pacific Jan 29, 2014 You da man G lane, looks like Bande it is this weekend!
Matt "The Spider" Swider the gulch is still a mess. Did what I could Jan 14, 2014
Matt "The Spider" Swider I'm heading to the Gulch at 1030 to clear the pads and play. Jan 13, 2014

Corey Kieft Jan 6, 2014 Lol.
Joe Wander Thanks for your note, Mark. I did not know that. Hopefully the trail they make is wide enough for a roller. I find the snowmobile track available at Hudson Mills a bit thin. Jan 6, 2014
mark ellis Jan 6, 2014 Ice roller tracks!! This could revolutionize the game. We would want them as smooth as luge track with banked walls and a ramp just before the baskets for roller aces.
Joe Wander Jan 14, 2014 I prefer the term snowler, but that's the idea.

Independence Lake Park is the best choice for clear tee pads. The PARK shovels and salts both longs and shorts!! They drive this big machine around the course and while they clear the pads they also ... show more ›

Nick Pacific Jan 5, 2014 Mark do you know if they are going to put up the picnic loop in this winter?
Ed Carpus Jan 5, 2014 Is it maybe a cross country ski trail groomer?
mark ellis Jan 6, 2014 No idea on the picnic course ( or as Yogi Bear would say the 'pick-in-ick" course). No idea on the identity of the machine which makes the paths. They seem rather narrow so maybe a snowmobile?
Joe Wander This fluffy new snow must make for some grim golfing conditions. 3-5" more now being forecast for Sunday. Ugh. Jan 3, 2014
Nick Pacific Jan 3, 2014 In times like these, I say fuck it, Dude. Let's go bowling

Joe Wander Dec 18, 2013 Nice job, G. They'd been cleared on Sunday so hopefully things hadn't gotten too bad.
Nick Pacific Dec 18, 2013 No kidding on the sign, that's hilarious, my one attempt at being a vocal ended up with serious fail

Mike Stratford Anybody know what the pads at stoney are looking like Mar 22, 2013
Nate Wheeling HM Update: Original shorts are clear, but all the other pads are under an slushy/icey mix. A couple of warm days with sun should do the trick. Fairways are squishy, slushy, and still icey in certain parts. Mar 10, 2013
Sean Newland Lakeshore - Shorts on back 15 -18+letters are spotty. Some pads clear and good, some with only a spot for a stand-still and some just completely covered. Bring Shovel and salt if you can. Mar 8, 2013
Ben Calhoun Mar 8, 2013 I'm going to get to all tees tonight after close..for the tournament tomorrow..if it's sunny all day, it should finally slide right off..

Jim Daniels Mar 6, 2013 I would like to give big-time kudos to the Indy Lake staff who keep both the mid & long pads clear all winter long.
Jacob Quiton Mar 6, 2013 That's the staff doing that? Wow huge thanks to those guys!
Ben Calhoun Lakeshore- all but a few (15,16 for some reason were completely impossible to shovel) of the original 24's short pads are clear now. Most longs untouched. Should have them done for Saturday's tournament. Mar 6, 2013
Joe Wander Reset! Feb 27, 2013
Nick Pacific Feb 27, 2013 Today would be the day to go out and shovel. All the pads are just slushy, get them clean today and they won't collect ice overnight tonight.
Ben Calhoun Lakeshore seems mostly shoveled- the PDGA league did the longs the other day, not sure if 18 or more than 18, and I gave the shovel to some people this morning and it appears they shoveled all the short tees! Feb 24, 2013
Joe Wander Anyone with updates following the recent snowage? Hope it gets cold tonight so at least it will be a dry round tomorrow. Feb 23, 2013
John Minicuci Feb 23, 2013 both Wagner and Starr have been shoveled.

Ben Calhoun Jan 2, 2013 yup, I borrowed them once like two years ago, just ask them
Jim Daniels RH shorts in better shape now due to added (environmentally friendly per Foz's recommendation) salt. Only had a quart jar of salt so some tees in back woods portion only have 2 good steps or half a tee. There is also a community shovel on the 1st tee, a good quality one, thank you Foz. Jan 2, 2013
peter kunoff rolling tees like they are most winters. front half cleared. back side icy; would require salt and some serious labor Jan 2, 2013
Hunter S. Dotson Bandemer is a nightmare. Had I had the means to clear it I would have but I played left if pad to keep it classy. Fairways are decent but pads need shoveling and sega salt. Jan 1, 2013

Jay B Jan 2, 2013 A regular flat shovel works great, it might be smaller but way better than any snow shovel on stepped on compacted snow on the pads
Hunter S. Dotson Jan 2, 2013 They looked to be mend-able. not super packed yet but unless someone gets out there soon it will be deadly.
Ben Calhoun Jan 2, 2013 if I go there, I will be ready for them, but probably going to willow
Ben Calhoun Lakeshore- shoveled and salted 1-18 short totally clear. 1-9 long shoveled, no salt, clear though. Dec 31, 2012
Jim Daniels Indy was in good shape shorts and long (except some longs on extras) when we left on Sat aftn. Dec 31, 2012
peter kunoff happy to see this still being used despite my winter hibernation Dec 31, 2012
