Hey everyone,
Just letting everyone know that I'm planning to run a night tournament in the next month. Still trying to lock down a date and would love suggestions for when the most people would be able to attend. I will be out of town the weekend of Oct 24 and Nov 1, and Nov 8, so it would probably have to be after that. We move the clocks back an hour on the 2nd so it will be getting dark around 5:30
We will put glow sticks on the baskets and small LED lights on the discs. The lights run at $2 a piece. I've recieved a $50 sponsor and will use some of that money to cover the cost of 1 LED per person and the rest for prizes, if you want an additional light I will need to know, (lights are pretty easy to change from disc to disc) and you don't really need one for your putter). All holes will be in the 180-250ft range with maybe 2 holes around 300 ft.
For the layout I'm thinking 2 rounds of 12, because the holes are really short we should be able to play this very quickly, let me know if you guys think thats too long. I would like to have some pretty good prizes, so I'm thinking for the entry fee it would be $12 or $5 and disc (cheap plastic, dx or pro equivelant), I'd also consider a very lightly used champion or star plastic disc to cover the full $12. There will be 4 divisions assuming we get enough people out. Advanced, womens, intermediate, and Rec. Rec will be free for those that just want to come out and play, but no prizes given, hopefully this will get some new faces out. All prize money from entry fee will stay within the division. There will also be CTP.
It would also be nice to know how many baskets we will have access too so i can begin drafting a course. I'm pretty flexible about this, let me know if you think the course will be too long, if you think the holes should be longer, or if you think the entry fee should be higher or lower.
