Played the course a couple times in freeland. New(er) to the area and don't have many discing friends in the area. Alright everyone, I apologize for the delay, but I now have the Freeland signs in hand. Tri City Kustoms did a great job. We have 26 Tee signs that are 18” by 12” and include an anti graffiti vinyl film. The sponsor signs will go below these to advertise their support. They are printed on sturdy aluminum to make sure they will last through the weather conditions for years to come. We will have 6 directional signs painted by the talented Alisha Grace Schafer, and 2 mando signs. Let’s give this course a facelift!

So, I would like to plan a day for installation and to do some course cleanup. The only request the township had was that we do not use a chainsaw. Let’s discuss a Sunday coming up that works for those willing to lend a hand. I will bring food and drinks.

All Disc golfers 50 and over… there is only three weeks left to register for the 50+ DGC Senior weekend events at Kent State University which will include a ‘C’ tier disc golf tournament on July 8th and 9th along with plenty of doubles and side events that make this a totally unique disc golf experience. This is to all the club member's, player's, and the casual's of Discgolf it wasn't Mobile Birdie idea to step-on the clubs toes by holding our touranment at Freeland's & Chippewa Banks course. We where in a rush to get one going and didn't properly go throught the right motion to get one started. Mobile Birdie will be giving 25% of profits back to the Freeland Disc Golf Club & Chippewa Banks Disc Golf. Plus it's about time to DO WORK!! On these course's so this Friday and Sunday at at 9am Midland need's more work to get ready for the Midland Open way more then was put into Freeland so come out and be proud of what we have here in Saginaw Area it just good to be out side and movin. Jim Fries and Buffalo Sanders will be out there to get it whippp right back into shape so come join in helping hand's. If you don't have a ride call 493-6533 we can get rides out there We are here to stay and want to give back to this game as much as the game gave to us.

Spread the word! A new course is going in at Wickes Park in Saginaw Township. A Boy Scout is organizing it as his Eagle Scout project and planning some work days to clean up the holes going through the woods. The plans are all for Saturdays from 9:30 to 2:30, people are welcome to come and go as they're able. There'll be a break for lunch with some food provided. The dates are 9/24, 10/8, and 10/15 (maybe 10/22 if necessary). Bring shovels, post hole diggers, garden shears and branch snippers if you have them. The work will be done at the Hospital Road side of the park rather than the McCarty Rd side.
