This will be 4 rounds of BYOP Dubs @ the Marine Park/Thunder Island layout and at the Locks Approach course. Two very challenging courses,
smack dab in the heart of the Columbia Gorge. Bring your camera!

• Note: week 3 of the “Locks Approach Friday Dubs” ($5 random draw doubles) will still be held, and for the first time will be played on the island course! So come out for 2 nights & 3 days of discin’. It's going to be a fun weekend!

Discvango will be shuttling to the new Crooked Ranch DGC, just outside of Bend next Sat. 11/02. This a new course put in by the original designer for Skyline. Shaun and Onya now manage the Crooked River Ranch and have put in the first 18 hole layout, of what will be a 36 hole optioned course. Two additional pin positions to come for each hole. Shaun tells me it takes about 2 hrs to play a round there. So with an hour break for lunch, in between two rounds, puts us on the course 5-6 hrs. with roughly 3 1/2 hours each way, means leaving about 6-7am, and returning about 8-9pm (depending on your stop) Pick ups - 185th and TV Hwy @ 6:00, Lunchtime @ 6:30, Vance DGC @ 7:15. Tickets are $30 for west side pick ups, and $25 for east side pick ups, and are available for Pay Pal payment @ discvango.com/payments. Only 10 seats available!! As many of you who enjoy this new course know, the course is in need of some volunteer love! We are working with the Port, as they are going through some staffing changes, to get the necessary maintenance on the course done. Sat. we hope to get the lower fairways trimmed to perfection, and that whole weekend, we are also hoping to rent a large tractor mower to mow all the upper fairways. Working together, we could have the course up to par(yeah I said it). With the growing season behind us, this should be last big cutting needed for the rest of the year. The city of Cascade Locks has given the final approval for an 18 hole disc golf course in their Industial park.Starting this weekend, 6/23&6/24, we will begin clearing fairways, mostly consisting of thick ground cover to small weed trees, and are in need of a few volunteers w/ tools. Camping on site is free, so if your available both days .... Camping is primitive, however, KOA is just 3/4 of a mile from site, w/ restrooms and showers. We will start work at 9am, and work till 3pm both days. Afterwards we will bus over to N. Bonn. for a round of disc golf. Upcoming dates for future work partys- Sun.July 9th, Sat. July 14th, Sun. Skyline will be re opening the first weekend in March, and to help kick off the season, DVG will be holding a singles and a BYOP doubles tourmament for the grand re opening.
Sat. March 3rd.- Two rounds singles in the classic layout, with golf carts $35.00/player
Sun. March 4th.-Two rounds BYOP doubles in the classic layout with golf carts $40.00/team
There will be two divisions- adv and am. we will be capping this event at 72 single spots and 36 doubles spots, so get yourself registered for your chance to win up to $1,000 in payouts each day! And all who play in the kick of challenges can qualify 20% off Skyline golf year round!

There will be a one week Vacation for two w/airfair for one to Hawaii. $2.00 buy in, anyone is eligible to take a shot at it, not just competitors, this is being donated by River View Resturant, Cathlamet Wa.
RSVP for a Great catered lunch, served in the club house, great meal for just $8.00.
We will have the course set up Sat. the 26th for warm up, as well as rec. play. Cost is $10.00/round (the cost of the cart, golf for free). Sat. rounds starting at 9am.

Play two rounds of a challenging 18-hole layout at Cascade Locks Marine Park, over to and on Thunder Island, a rich piece of our state’s history. This is a very well groomed and maintained park, giving you some of the most pristine fairways while providing some of the most challenging Disc Golf to play. Bentley Baskets will be featured.

Camping is available at Cascade Locks Marine Park ($15/night, $25/night with full hookup; call 541-374-8619 to reserve a campsite). Local lodging is also available.

There will be an opportunity for an afternoon round on Saturday, October 29.

Because the Lock Robster Disc Golf Tournament is a fundraiser for Lyme disease research, payout will be to the top 25% only. Proceeds will benefit Oregon Lyme Disease Network (http://www.oregonlyme.org/).

Tournament Cost: $40.00 per player. Fee includes a commemorative disc, 2 rounds of disc golf at Cascade Locks Marine Park, a dinner and awards ceremony Sunday evening at CharBurger Restaurant, a $3 credit for ice cream at East Winds Ice Cream shop, and the satisfaction of supporting a great cause.
