the percentage program rewards smaller leagues and also broadens the spread. you could argue that goes against the whole concept. id like to be more constructive but i dont have a better alternative. i think the up method desrves more consideration though. my favorite part of your post was that theres involved golfers up north eh?

Thanks for the feedback, Tim.

There are actually 3 brackets for points based on the number of players who play the round:
4-19 players < 18 points minimum for the winner
20-59 players < no minimum or maximum points
60+ players < 60 points maximum for the winner

The maximum number of points a player can get in one round is 60 (excluding highlight rounds, which are double points). The minimum points for a round winner is 18, even if there were only 4 players in the round. This wa ... more

The system flaw is that you award points based on players beat, rather than percentage points of players beat. Those who play in large city leagues could potentially finish with more points than someone who wins or places top 3 in 90% of league nights at a small league which averages 10-15 players a week.

In da UP, we've started to abandon the points concept and award percentages. Therefore, winner of the league night gets 100 points (percent) regardless of how many people p ... more

The admins already saw that and we're working to remove the points from scoring. Once per year we take one out of state trip for our league. This allows us to experience all the great courses Michigan has to offer and some of the great courses outside of our borders as well (I think the points may have already been negated but show up with hash marks to show the league did have an event that didn't count toward points)

do you speak of TADGA Jay? 2 of their 3 "Home" Courses are just over the boarder here in Michigan. That is a BIG league that draws in a ton of Mich/Ohio players. TADGA also hold tourney's here in Michigan as well, so they are well rooted in Michigan Disc Golf even though they come from Ohio. It is only logical to add them to the Mich Points Series. And besides, with Toledo being that close to Michigan already, I know I wouldn't want any Ohio points attached to my profile only MICPS points! Pete would have to cleanse my account if it some how got associated with Ohio (lol)

Anyone in MDGO cooperative points series interested in playing the Black and White singles and doubles at Holly Woods July 1st should know they may pay into the daily league CTP and that the second round singles starts when we get back from lunch after doubles (10am) and will likely start after 12pm (my number is 248-707-0367 if you would like to text or call me with questions about the league)

Hello I was just wondering, the very first doubles league I played placed me on the leaderboards , like 5th from the bottom. But the last two I played havent been listed from the flint town flyers to this page. Plus I noticed my ranking disappeared from my page. Can anyone help?

FYI - You may have seen a change in the leaderboard but that is not the final change. Sorry in my rush to add the PS I did not set all the configurations correctly and so it was using the scores from the league rounds, which is incorrect as the MiCPS calculated points independently to allow leagues to do what ever they want for their league. That part has been corrected. You will see another change soon as the points are currently calculated per the old system not the three tier system that w ... more
