Hello everybody, and thank you for registering for the Fourth Annual Showboat Showdown sponsored by Breaking Aces. We’re looking forward to an awesome day and some awesome scores from some awesome people! The weather looks great, but at 84 degrees you’re gonna need to stay hydrated. Bring water.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, Breaking Aces, High Life Farms, Evolution Disc Golf, Rootnote Landscape Solutions, the River Provisioning, Garber Chevrolet Buick of Chesaning, Mel Ervin Ford, McEntyre Cabinets, and Riverfont Grille for their help with lunch. Their help makes this event successful.
PLEASE TRY TO NOT PARK AT THE BOAT LAUNCH. Use the spots up top, and the spots to the left of the barns on the grass first. We want to leave that lot empty to help keep kayakers from parking on the course. I will put up a notice to the community online, but we can’t always control everything.
We have THREE berths to the Michigan Amateur State Championships to hand out. For those, we will be taking the winner of each amateur division and they will be throwing off in a ctp to determine who gets them. In the event that a division winner has already won their berth, then the opportunity will fall to the next placed person in their division.
Make sure your phone is charged, because we are doing live scoring. We encourage multiple people on each card to keep score. That way all scoring mistakes are caught on the spot. You can access like scoring by using
www.pdga.com/score and the password is “Showdown”

Please bring in any flags for the holes you finish on AFTER the second round. It would be a big help to us if you also brought in any other signage as well from your finishing hole, but certainly not necessary.

We will have spotters at some of the holes that typically require some searching. We will have a tip/donation box for them up at Check In. Cash or Plastic goes a long way to help out those who are helping us out. Show them some love, please. In the case of a missing disc, please try to hold to the 3 minute rule to keep the flow going.
Discs lost in the river: Unless you can get it quickly, I recommend moving on and coming back to get it at the break. The water is low, it won’t take long to grab them at break.
Trash. Pack it in, pack it out. Please help keep our course clean.
Pictures. If you take any photos, we’d love to see them. Please post them on the Chesaning Disc Golf page on Facebook.
Riverfront Grille will be running personal pizzas down to us. If you would like to plan on ordering one for your lunch, please bring $8 to check-in, write down on the sheet what you would like on it, and they will bring them down for us at the break between rounds. This is super convenient for all of you and it saves you from driving around at the break.
We are really looking forward to Sunday. It is going to be an amazing time. Can’t wait to see you all!
