I am constantly checking the weather for the tournament this Saturday. Only a Tstorm will stop us from playing. If it moves too slowly we will have to schedule another day(hopefully the following day). However, if it is raining(regardless of intensity) we will be playing. So please dress accordingly and prepare yourselves out there. I know I will be playing in it as well and have been known to throw in storms.

I am trusting that this will happen and am signing up some rec players that have asked me but don't have a internet address.
That are the players I will register and have few more to remind about it.
ok fantastic. We will be accepting walkins if they miss registration time. They need to be early to player registration and pay cash.
I received emails indicating payment for registration for all but my son Devon Dunn. He is on the list for the tournament.

Is this event still taking place? We're hoping to make it and maybe encourage a few others also.

Friends of mine who have attended some tournaments expected to walk in. I understand how, to prepare, you would like to know how many are attending. But I'm scrambling this evening to l contact all the players I know that they have until Saturday to sign up online. Many players on the course this past month tell me they are going to play (every time I am there!) but when asked none of them have signed up. Maybe you should allow walk ins, just run out of "freebies" or ...? My buds have arranged for time off work that day, told family they were unavailable, etc.
Yes, it is a weird situation. We do the registration online and payment through paypal. i will have to see if we are allowed to accept money for walk ins. That part is not my call. I should have and answer for you tomorrow.
Thanks for the reply. I can sign up four more this evening, but I wonder how many is the critical number of players to still have the tournament.

So sorry for the late response. This is not a sanctioned event and in no way requires a pdga number. Anyone can play in the fundraiser. When I first started attending tournaments myself this was a confusing thing to be asked to put in as I assumed you made them up or required some kind of membership. PDGA numbers cost money and are for more serious players who attend bigger tournaments. I hope this cleared things up and hope to see you at the tournament!

So I have a question. When we register do we have to have a pdga number to play or no?
yup I think it went very well and everyone seemed really pleased with it.
I also would like to thank you for making the effort and taking the time to administrate the event. I thought it was a great time & hope it was encouraging to the powers-that-be to step-up and make serious committments to make improvments to the course.
Agian, thanx for your personal effert
Thank you very much for your kind words. I was just happy to help and try to get people to see the potential that I see in our local golf course
Please post of any further events at woodchuck in the future as we want to be involved .
Not a problem and plan to. I believe Bev has interest in having a Halloween tournament in Oct. I will keep everyone posted.
