Didn't mean to delete the comment about day of signups. No, there is specifically not and I closed it today so that I can finalize tee times and let folks know for sure when they are playing. The only tee times available without overloading full cards are at 10 or 10:15 AM for round 1, and only 11:15 for round 2, which is not enough time between rounds.

Willy Pop Up Player Meeting

General Notes:
I. This is just a super simple way to get in a couple rated rounds and some practice under tournament conditions at Willamette Park. Look for at least a couple more of these to pop up.

II. When it is your tee time, simply show up hole 1 where I will be posted. I will check you in get the card started when it is time.

General Notes:

ii. If no one is at the table at hole 1, then please start yourself at your tee time.

III. We will be using live scoring.
a. www.pdga.com/score for entering scores (www.pdga.com/live for checking/watching live scoring).
b. Code is wpu120
c. Only one person on the card can be logged in and keep score.
d. Please have one other person keep a handwritten backup until the scores are turned in, to be turned in only in case of emergency.
e. Please check your scores and “sign” the electronic scorecard.
f. After the round, please stop and let me make sure the scores show up online (and/or turn in the paper card).



Course notes:
I. Layout is set and posted in the pictures on Disc Golf Scene, same layout both rounds.
II. No 2-meter rule is use.
III. Willamette out of bounds rules is simply put, "OB if disc is fully past the outside edge of the pylons."
IV. Use the tee signs! Any OB is marked on all the signs!
a. Yes, going long past pylons on hole 1 and 17 is OB
V. There are no mandos or hazard areas.
a. PLEASE! DO NOT throw towards other people! Let the group that is ahead play out and then throw when they are clear.
VI. Hole #2, will use the long tee pad BOTH ROUNDS.
a. Please note that I probably can’t block off the short pad due to casuals.
VII. Hole #4, the OB extends from the last pylon in a straight line to the pavement! There is OB all the way down the left.
a. Fully on or over the paved path (long) is OB.
VIII. Card makes all calls, and any benefit of doubt goes to the player, as always.



Tournament Notes:
I. Speed of play. Remember the time to look for lost discs is 3 minutes "after the whole card starts helping."
a. Let's get everyone looking right away, for 3 minutes, and then it is a rethrow with 1 stroke penalty if not found.
b. Take a provisional throw if there is any doubt you can find your disc before you move your marker and walk off.
II. And please also remember that this is a sanctioned event, so no kids under 13 (with exception for a well-behaved caddie), no pets, and especially no drug or alcohol use during the rounds.
a. “During the round” is from the 2 minute warning until the time the scorecards are turned in.
b. Please don't put me in a position to have to kick someone out of the tournament. I don't want to deal with that.
III. Cigarette smoking. If have to smoke a cigarette, then try to be courteous of people around you and downwind.
a. Per section 812A, players may not allow their smoke to disturb other players.
b. It is a warning the first time, and then a courtesy violation with a stroke penalty subsequent times that secondhand smoke somehow disturbs another player.
c. Let’s use some common sense and courtesy and don’t make others smoke with you.



COVID notes:
I. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, then please do not come to the tournament.
II. Please don’t congregate, including in the parking lot.
III. Wearing of a face mask is encouraged but not required.
a. Please maintain 6-foot physical distancing, or wear a mask if you cannot per the state rules.
IV. There will be hand sanitizer available upon request.




Final notes:
I. Again, there is no player meeting! This is it!
a. Just show up slightly early for your tee time and be ready to go on time!
II. Let's be courteous of other park users, and respect park laws and the PDGA rules of play.
III. As always, remember the first rule of disc golf, which is to have fun!
