Ready to get some ACES?
I am very excited that we will have all 30 spots filled up for the Ace Race this Saturday. That is great for our first year hosting this event. We have a fun day of events scheduled for you guys. So here is some important information that you need to know. Please read them all.
1. First off, this is a fundraiser for the school’s disc golf club. Our goal is to put this money towards improving our 9 hole course (which is less than a year old) with better tee pads and modifying 2 holes to make the course flow a little better. So we will be selling mulligans, having competitions at lunch time, selling hotdog lunches, and selling some used discs to raise money for these efforts. Bring your cash and/or check books.
2. This tournament is 1 throw for each player on each hole, unless you purchased mulligans. You get 1 point for hitting anywhere on the basket and 3 points for an ace. We will be selling mulligans (extra throws) at 1 mulligan for $3 or 2 for $5. You can purchase as many as you want BUT you can only use 1 mulligan per hole. You also can ONLY use the discs that you get in the players pack. So leave your other discs at home.
3. Parking will be in the bus lot behind the school. We will have a tent set up for registration at 9am. Come early to get your disc and go throw them to get used to the course and the disc. A quick players meeting will be at 10am before we start round 1. I’ve included a map for those who’ve never been here.
4. Lunches will be $5 at the school. It will be hotdogs, chips and a drink. We will have a 1 hour lunch from the last group that comes in. Then we will play the 2nd and final round.
5. During the lunch break, we will have a distance throw, closest to the pin throw and ring-of-fire putting competition for some sweet disc prizes. So hang around for that. $1 entry for all three events.
