The Black Forest has been there for ages and opens at 10am.

Wild Texas Tour is newer to the brewery and isn't there every day but will be there today (and most Saturdays). Not sure of opening time but probably similar or maybe 11am or noon?

Notes on Mulligans not addressed earlier:
Mulligans can be used on any shot EXCEPT for the drive on Hole #17 (the Father Dave CTP hole). You must take the Mulligan shot even if it is worse. If it is worse, you CAN take yet another Mulligan  .

Final Reminders:
Please bring cash for a lot of the extra stuff like disc/shirt upgrades, mulligans, raffle, etc.

Bring 3 or more non-perishable food items to donate to the food bank and receive 1 free raffle ticket.

Bring small items for the Father Dave CTP. It is a player-driven CTP prize. At the Players Meeting we will pass around a bag and we hope you’ll all bring something small to put in it. Could be a neat toy, something silly or weird, a mini, some change from your pocket or a dollar bill, whatever; anything and everything . There will be a CTP on hole #17 for the prize pack that is created from these donations. All players are eligible to win it.

The Ice Bowl Membership Drive will continue all day Saturday, both at the course and online. Renew your club membership. Join the club at discounted rates. Come be a part of the area’s biggest (and in our humble opinion, the best) disc golf club. Waterlooooooooooo

Finally, let us remember that this is a fundraiser for Central Texas Food Bank and this is always difficult time for the food bank because of needing to re-stock following the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Please help us raise a lot of money and a lot of food for an organization that provides such an important service to our friends, neighbors, and community.

Unfortunately we will NOT have someone on the grill making food to sell all day.

However, we will have some food for the players AFTER THE ROUND. We are getting a bunch of those big sandwich platters from the one and only Thundercloud Subs, and we will bring some chips and cookies to go with them.

It won’t be an ‘all you can eat’ thing. We should have enough for each player and staff member to get TWO of the sandwich pieces (which is about the same as one of their small subs), plus some chips and cookies.
However, it will be FREE for all players and staff.

So be sure to bring snacks/food for the morning and during the round; and after the round if you need more food than we can provide.

Friends and family coming with you will need to provide their own food.

There is also the Black Forest food trailer out there at Live Oak that should be open in the afternoon and has pretty good food. Not sure if they’ll be open in the morning, but it is a Saturday so maybe.

Merchandise donations still needed to help the club raise money for Central Texas Food Bank. Just bring any merchandise donations with you to Live Oak Brewing Co. this Saturday.
OR you can drop it off Thursday afternoon during regular store hours at DISC NATION flagship store on Slaughter Lane Or ANOTHER ROUND AUSTIN at Mopac & Hwy 71.

We have some great sponsors donating so far but could really use some more. At our annual Waterloo DG Classic we make a big push for sponsorship and contact lots of clubs, businesses, and people. However our Ice Bowl is a much more low-key event, so we really count on smaller, more local disc golf oriented sponsorship, especially from individual players.

Whether you are playing or not, if you can give even just a disc or towel or something small for us to give away it would all add up to make a huge difference to our fundraising efforts.

We need prizes for the big raffle, the mulligan drawing, CTP, and a little something for 1st place in each division.

A reminder that for all PDGA tournaments EVERYONE on a card must keep a scorecard of the group for the whole round. So with groups of 5 or 6 for Ice Bowl, each group will have all 5 or 6 people keeping a full scorecard. At the end you must reconcile them all hole-by-hole, AND the group must turn ALL of the scorecards in to HQ.

We WILL be using the PDGA live/digital scoring system, so hopefully most of our players will use that makes the hole-by-hole reconciliation at the end so much easier. However, we will have paper scorecards available for everyone who wants to use that method. There is a link on how to use the digital scorecard on that ‘player-td-guidance’ page, and it is listed again below.

Be sure to come to the event with your phone fully charged so you don't lose your live scoring ability during the round.

We will be having a big raffle at Ice Bowl this year, we already have some nice prizes from our sponsors (and we hope to have a lot more before the end of Saturday). Tickets will be sold all day and winning numbers drawn at the end. Usual Waterloo raffle ticket prices: 1 tkt for $2; 6 tkts for $10; and the best deal of 15 tkts for $20.

You MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. If you aren’t going to be around at the end, give your tickets to someone else who will be so they can collect your prizes for you.


MULLIGANS:
We are selling mulligans to help raise money for the food bank. You can buy up to 5 mulligans for $2 each. Many of you bought these when registering, but if you didn’t you can still buy them Saturday morning when checking in.

Mulligans can be used on any shot (even missed putts :) ), but you must take the 2nd shot even if it is worse. SAVE your mulligan tickets because we will draw for a few "mulligan" prizes at the end of the day.

We are continuing one of our old, very fun Ice Bowl traditions this year: the Father Dave CTP. But this requires your help as it is a player-driven CTP prize. At the Players Meeting we will pass around a bag and we hope you’ll all bring something small to put in it. Could be a neat toy, something silly, something weird, a mini, some change from your pocket or a dollar bill, whatever; anything and everything.

We will then have a CTP on the course during the round on a shorter, easier hole. The prize will be that big bag of stuff we collected. It is always fun watching the winner go through it, discovering all the different things inside.

We do NOT have paypal/venmo/etc available. We DO have a Square reader so we can take credit cards, and we have Zelle (for direct payments from your bank). But the check-in line can take a while and to keep things moving along as fast as possible having cash available to pay for things would be a HUGE help; that way you can get done with the line and out there warming up and having fun. Waterloo is having a big Ice Bowl Membership Drive. We are very close to hitting Member #800, just 4 more new members to go!

For new members we have greatly reduced rates for membership; save $10 or $15.
For renewing members there are discounts for multi-year renewals, plus you’ll get a $10 Disc Nation gift certificate for your 2025 renewal.

This ends on Sat. Jan. 25th so time is running out, sign up or renew soon.


Many of you joined or renewed when registering for the event, THANK YOU! We already have 16 new members plus a bunch of renewals.

But if you didn’t, it is not too late. You can go back to your 2025 Ice Bowl DGS registration page any time between now and January 25th; from there you can add the optional new member or renewal and pay right then.
OR you can go to the site and register again, this time making your “division” MEMB, that will bring up all the new member and renewal choices.

Do you know someone who might be interested in joining or renewing but isn’t playing Ice Bowl? Please give them this link and they can choose the “division” MEMB to get signed up for the club.
