Well, I schedule my tournaments on the same approximate the same dates every year. And have been doing these tournaments for many years. The Flower City open is the tournament that has changed their date. The same is true with River Fest. The Quincy Open has been on The first Saturday in June for well over 10 years, and the Quincy Disc Golf League don't want to change it, River Fest was previously the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in June. It was set up to go with Steamboat Days, hence River Fest. I truly don't want to compete with other tournaments. However I put in my schedule in October, and really don't know why other tournament directors want to put them on the same day. This may be a question you could ask them. I don't want to lose players but I can't make my schedule after waiting on other TD's, to decide which different date they chose. I hope this helps to explain how this has happened.
