Also because of the low turnout and the timeline, we were unable to secure Halloween themed trophies. The guy that typically does them didn't get back to Nick over at Pathfinder. I guess you guys will just have to be content with increased payouts.

This was not supposed to be a grandiose return to TD'ing for me anyway. It's purely about data collection for 2026 because we want to give you guys what you want, and not just throw out 50 subpar tournaments in random locations. I apologize in advance if you show up tomorrow and wonder why things aren't operating as intended in the "about" section here on DGS. We want to know what will make signing up early a priority for you as a player so that each event has funding to work with prior to the week of the event.

Tomorrow is the big day, here's what I decided due to the low turnout, which I'm fine with. I gotta shake the cobwebs off and get back into tournament mode!!

I want everyone to consider giving me as much feedback as possible as to what y'all would like to see in 2026 and beyond. What's going to keep you playing tournaments? Would you like a cohesive series amongst the courses? Championship rings again?

Everyone is playing Rec 2x, save for MPO and MA1. This is purely in the interest of time as I'd like to get y'all out before the Halloween Parade downtown kicks off and you struggle to get out of Centralia. As Randy is playing in MP40, I'm going to allow that to fire off on its own. Appreciate you coming out Randy!

That said about courses, I am considering having everyone play Rec Side in Round 2 to keep things speedy with the low turnout. I will have to create a new rec side layout in the PDGA tools so it isn't rating suicide to have MPO and MA1 play Rec, but I'm looking specifically for active feedback from the MPO players that are showing up to possibly play a couple of the natural blue tee pads(which have never been used in sanctioned play), and that will offset the ratings and give you guys a few true par 4's to work with. I'm personally working on an idea, but the event just hasn't generated any funding because signups are just lower this year.

There are several Halloween events happening on this date, but I assure you the competition will be concluded before any serious conflicts occur!
