It's true, everyone! Just when I thought I was out, the community called for me in overwhelming numbers, and I couldn't ignore all of you. We love disc golf, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of my friends and putting on a smooth tournament for you all just in time for Halloween in 2025. Stick around after the round and join me for a drink at The Boiler Room - inside of RAIL Coffee Room in Downtown afterwards! It's a 1920s Speakeasy that even has a drink named after me!
I missed you all, and I honestly look forward to hosting you all on various courses throughout all of 2026 as well hint, hint
OKAY, TIME FOR THE DETAILS!
So far, I'm only having MPO and MA1 play Champ Side 2x, in the interest of time. As you all know, it gets darker much earlier during October.
All other divisions will play Rec Side 2x, with several added holes thrown into the fray.
AS AN IMPORTANT NOTE, ALL GENDER PROTECTED DIVISIONS CURRENTLY OFFERED WILL BE OFFERED UNTIL 10/8/2025, IF 3 PEOPLE HAVE NOT MADE UP A GENDER PROTECTED DIVISION, THE DIVISION WILL NO LONGER BE OFFERED SO WE CAN HANDLE TROPHIES WITHOUT CONCERNS. ANY GENDER PROTECTED SIGN-UPS AFTER 10/8/2025 WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO COMPETE IN THE MIXED AMATEUR 4 DIVISION OR WHICHEVER MIXED DIVISION THE PLAYER'S RATING QUALIFIES THEM FOR.
The events I run are not going to ever exceed $30 unless we go to B-tier status. Here's the financial breakdown for all of you though:
$3 of all entry fees are going to PDGA fees post-event. Gotta pay the dues, folks.
$5 of all entry fees are going to maintenance costs and TD fees(which usually are tallied post event. I'd like to provide Hot Cocoa this year and a few other amenities, and that costs money, y'all). Water bottles will be placed around the courses, but I'm not likely to buy new coolers for this event.
This means that I am estimating $22 of your entry fees are going straight into the prize purse. If I'm able to gather any extra sponsors for the event, I pledge that 80% of those sponsor funds go straight into the prize purse as added cash. The other 20% should cover fees for signage, trophies, etc. But I can't guarantee you all that I'm working very hard to raise sponsor money for this event.
Keep an eye on this page and the schedule, but plan to tee off early around 9:00am! We'll have several rounds to get through as well as lunch and awards!!
