I'll try to figure out how to post it. I understand what you're saying. There is a page I can print but I didn't have access to a printer. The pdga report does the math for you. In the future, I'll be sure to print that page and post it at the event. I'll also try to find out how to get it here for this one.

The purpose of novice isn’t the debate. 11 of 18 spots in rec paid out. Half of women’s novice paid out, yet the largest division paid out 3 of 19. Do you expect novice women to step up to? This all goes back to the page not advertising trophy only as payout. Don’t put more into it than what’s at face value.

The advertised “trophy only payout” didn’t exist so expectations were set that were unfulfilled on top of rec got paid more than 50% which is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but not right when novice was paid out 3 of 19.

I believe if you have played for more then a year you should play rec that’s my opinion. Yeah play ratings I understand that too. But I been playing rec from the start but like one tournament. I am a 843 rated player and would have won novice with my score but every tourney that I have played at valley novice has been trophy only since day one. You are a 823 rated player most players rated that high play rec anyways. I wish the Pdga would move the ratings in for rec lower so ppl don’t sand bag actual novice players. Can’t win them all.

Need at LEAST 2 to make a division. Looking like you might need to go ahead and register in novice or rec. Or you can register in junior and hope another joins. If no one does, you can move Saturday morning.
